We offer a range of services from dog walking, dog sitting and our favourite - dog days out! We pride ourselves in treating your dog like one of our own and ensure that whatever service we provide we are responsible and enjoy what we do. All of the training methods we use are force-free and reward the dog for the behaviours we want to see. We keep up to date with the latest scientific studies and

research. We can help with behavioural issues such as toilet training, separation anxiety, resource guarding, fear aggression and many more - whatever your situation, we will help find the solution. We also offer bespoke dog walking, customised to suit each individual dogs needs. We ensure that within the walk they are mentally stimulated and go home tired and content!

PT3: This year in celebration of the 10th anniversary, I will be posting some nostagia from the years and diving into the reasons for starting and where I would like to go from here. I am never going to be a social media daily poster (I try and fail) but I would like to be more open about this business, myself and what it all means to me. I think I've spent so many years trying to be professional that the heart and passion is no longer as obvious as it should be and I want to bring that back. This year I am trying to be more myself and not let fear of judgement get in the way and so that all starts here.

PT2: As the business began to grow I needed help with the dog walking and my belief then as it is now, is that by training people and imprinting my knowledge into those who wanted to learn that they will make great dog walkers. We've had some really exceptional dog walkers over the years including (but not limited to) Suzy who moved to Taunton and continued to work with dogs, Elodie who has since worked with dogs in Spain and Cobi who set up her own business in Greenwich and has done so well, giving dogs the love and care they deserve and is now off to Scotland to try something different, speaking of, you should all follow . This business has brought me friendships that are so appreciated and now Jorge who has not been with us long but we just know will be a friend for a long time and is awesome with the dogs and who I am excited to teach more training & behaviour indepth stuff to.

And of course, Fabio, who knows what our relationship would even look like if it didn't involve walking dogs since day one. Our first date included four dogs, our second may have had 5... I knew nothing else at that stage and he not only accepted me with all of the dogs in tow but welcomed us into his life (despite being allergic to half of them). Fabulous Fabio, who has lived with this dog obsessed woman for 6 years and only a handful of times has uttered the words 'can we not talk about dogs anymore tonight' 😂

PT1 of an essay 😅: All of our clients, old and new, this year you have all been fantastic and shown so much support and encouragement. We are entering the 10th year of business and some of you I have worked with the duration of this time, others we are welcoming and excited to watch your dogs grow and develop with us and the care we provide.

In the last 10 years the business has changed so much. I started it aged 21 - it makes sense that is has grown with me, it is such a deep part of me that I have no idea who I am without it. A third of my life is this business and even longer is the desire to be surrounded by dogs, with dogs, among dogs, however you want to call it and learning everything I can. I just didn't know working with dogs was a possibility until this third of my life, otherwise I may have started when I was 7 (haha but also true).

I began on my own, finding my feet and believing in myself but only when it came to my knowledge of dogs. I gathered experience, courses, qualifications and seminars hungrily. I absorbed it all. I will never be able to tell you what happened in a movie an hour after we watched it, but I can tell you 100 different facts about dogs, their breeds, their behaviour, their ways, their communications all reeled off without taking a breath at any time of day or night.

Reintroducing ourselves for any new people coming to join us!

Hi! My name is Amey and I run Amey's Dog Services alongside our current team which will be introduced in later posts! 🥰

My dog obsession has been life long but my career began when I got my second dog Ezra and realised I didn't want to leave them at home all day or trust anyone to look after them so I took a gamble and began this business. Taking course after course to also help with dog training & behavioural issues.

Fastforward years and we have built up a small team to cover the walks whilst I focus on the training side of the business.

Two years ago after realising I was doing the majority of my training work online and that the clients were learning more online than they did in person, we moved to Portugal to be closer to Fabio (my boyfriend)'s family and I now split my time between Portugal and London. Coming back for in person training sessions when necessary and to help cover any walks.

The last year I have struggled with the business and my love of dogs after a particularly traumatic experience but I am slowly getting back to normal and will be sharing all the lovely dogs we work with more regularly again.

Pippa Pippa Pippa. A hard post to write and the sad part of walking dogs and growing attached.

Pippa was part of the OG crew. She joined us in my first year of dog walking and looking back I found there wasn't a whole lot of photos in the beginning... Of course there wasn't because she was normally in a bush, chasing a squirrel or fox or rolling in... something 🤣

Pippa has always known her own mind. When she wanted a walk, when she didn't. When the treat was worth coming back, when it wasn't. As the years rolled on, she began to see the value in dog-on-a-log and that made for better photos (and more freedom 🤣). All of this makes building a relationship and becoming a lifelong friend of Pippa all the more rewarding and fun!

Most of my memories of Pippa involve squirrels, searching in bushes, leading Ezra astray to search for rabbits and all of the different things she rolled in over the years, noise sensitivities and her unfortunate luck of coming to mine twice in a row and both times a fire alarm was beeping to alert me it was running out of battery (😅) and needing to give lots and lots of tummy scratches always

We are looking forward to celebrating our 10th year with more dog walks, enrichment and training.

Thank you to all that have supported us, continues to do so and appreciates the effort and love we put into your dogs.
