The London Vet Show #WeAreBVA
We care about supporting #TeamVet in remote areas.
This week, BVA President Liz Mullineaux attended the Highland and Islands Veterinary Services Scheme conference in Scotland.
This scheme, which BVA assists in coordinating and administrating, was created to support vets and livestock keepers in remote crofting areas.

#Fireworks may look pretty but they can be really distressing for pets and other animals.
It can be helpful to close curtains and windows and provide background noise to help mask the loud sounds.
You can find more #FireworkSafety tips here π
Each year, vets see animals with burns and injuries as a result of stress and fright from fireworks.
With fireworks season in full swing, it's important you do what you can to help keep pets, livestock and wild animals calm and safe.

Thinking of buying a puppy?
We've got some top question you should be asking breeders π
β
Did you breed the puppies yourself?
β
Have you started to house train and socialise the puppy?
β
Were both the puppy's parents screened for testable inherited diseases?
β
Will the puppy be microchipped and given their first vaccinations before homing?
β
Has the puppy or their parents had any health problems?
