🐾 We’re always learning at The London Cat Clinic! Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting for a session on feline cardiology and echocardiography.

Dr Locquet, a leading veterinary cardiologist, took us through advanced techniques for assessing heart health in cats, including the latest insights into diagnosing and managing heart conditions.

Sessions like these are an important part of what we do, making sure we stay up to date with the latest advancements in feline health.

A big thank you to Dr Locquet for sharing his expertise and to our very own Dr Jeremy, for organising!

St. Patrick’s Day celebrations are in full swing! 🍀

As you enjoy the day, keep in mind that some festive plants, decorations, and foods aren’t safe for cats.

Lilies, certain ferns, and Oxalis species (like false shamrocks) can be toxic if chewed on, and ribbons or small decorations can be a hazard for curious paws. If you’re bringing anything new into the house, it’s always best to check that it’s feline-friendly.

Wishing everyone a happy and safe St. Patrick’s Day!

“Goodness, i’m getting so sleepy...💤”

Today is World Sleep Day, and no one appreciates the importance of rest quite like our feline friends—averaging 12–16 hours a day!

Beyond being expert nappers, sleeping near a cat—with their warmth and gentle purring—can be a source of comfort and relaxation.

Quality sleep is essential for our well-being, and maybe our feline friends are onto something—prioritising rest might just be the key to feeling our best.

“Happy... World... what was it? Kidney Day!”

A message from 📸Gogo and the team at TLCC:

Monitoring kidney health is essential for our feline friends, especially those aged seven and older. Signs can be subtle, but you can watch out for: increased thirst or urination, reduced appetite, and weight loss.

Early detection and the right care can make a big difference in your 🐈‍⬛ friend’s comfort and quality of life.

It’s that time of year… kitten season has begun!

As the weather warms, more tiny paws are making their way into the world. A kitten’s first months shape everything from their health to their confidence, and early check-ups, vaccinations, and neutering help set them up for a happy, healthy life.

If you’ve welcomed a kitten and want to learn more about their care, health needs, and how to give them the best start, give us a call at 0203 740 1112.

“Wow! Let me get a closer look.” 🐾

Inquisitive by nature, our feline friends are always investigating! Their vision is tuned for movement, their whiskers pick up the slightest change in air pressure, and their ears track sounds we wouldn’t even notice.

Happy World Spay Day! 🐾

The adorable Pudding and Custard came in the other week for their castrations, and after a little rest and recuperation, they’re back to their usual antics.

Neutering/Spaying helps prevent unwanted litters and can reduce the risk of certain health and behavioural issues, supporting a healthier, happier life. A small procedure, a very big impact!

Splodge and Nimbus are two of the lucky felines who get to call our VCA Shannen their guardian! 🐾✨

As a bonded pair, they do everything together—including their annual check-up and vaccinations. We overheard a quick discussion.

“Mum’s workplace, right?”
“Yes, very nice!”

With that confirmed, they handled their visit with their usual charm before heading home—side by side, as always.

“What do you think, doc?” 🐾

Cats are experts at hiding discomfort, but dental disease is more common than you’d think—and it affects far more than just their teeth. Issues like tooth resorption and infections can cause chronic pain and impact their overall health.

That’s why our dentistry team, led by Dr Rob Davis, takes a thorough approach to feline dental care, from complex extractions to root canals and more.

Don’t forget - if your cat is on our Feline Fine Health Care Plan, you’ll get 10% off dental procedures!

🐾 February is - the perfect time to check in on their dental health.
