This is Stella. We rescued her recently from a garden in Mitcham where she had been hiding, scared and alone. Stella is heavily pregnant and we’re expecting the new arrivals any day now!
Keeping Stella safe in the cattery and then caring for her kittens will likely cost us over £1,000 in boarding and vet fees. If you can, please donate so we can keep being there for the animals who need us most.

Mitsy
Mitsy came to us a few weeks ago after a family we’d been working with for several months realised they could no longer cope.
Mitsy is around 3 years old, she’s a tortie and white female. She has been very nervous in the cattery so this week we managed to move her to a foster home. We really hope she’ll be able to relax in more familiar surroundings. Once she starts to show a bit of her personality, we’ll be able to work out what sort of family she’d suit and start looking for a permanent home for her.
Our fosterers do such a vital and amazing job in the rehabilitation of our animals and we’re so grateful to them. If you’d like to find out more about fostering, please get in touch at [email protected] 😻
Scoots
Scoots has been with us for 2 weeks now and was picked up from a home with 2 other cats who were living in bad conditions.
Scoots has an amputated leg and is also suffering from arthritis in his remaining hind leg. His walk is quite unusual and we have had him on pain relief to see if this will improve his movement. We haven’t seen any progress and the vets think there could be damage to the leg and have recommended a radiograph before deciding further action.
If you can, please donate at our Just Giving page 👉🏽 https://www.justgiving.com/rspcacroydon-crystalpalace so we can help get the treatment Scoots needs.
Thank you! 😻
Neville
Meet our adorable latest addition, Neville 😻.
He is 9 weeks old and was collected by Inspectors after he was found abandoned in a cat carrier on the pavement. Neville is now safe and sound and settling into his foster home.
Please get in touch at [email protected] if you are interested in adopting.
Do you remember Alfie and Thor, the two boys we collected from a multi-cat household of 26? We've managed to find them a foster home 🎊
Thor takes centre-stage in this video, showing us just how important it was for him to recover in a home setting 🥹 To say he is a cuddly, interactive cat is putting it very lightly, and he would be perfect for a home where you might want more of an intense relationship with your cat, and to be distracted from work ❤️😂
Alfie is still getting used to his environment, and is struggling with some digestive issues that we are working with the vets to resolve, but this hasn't stopped him from exploring too and cuddling up with his brother! Once we get Alfie's issues managed, we will be looking for a very loving home for these too!
We try to help cats from multi-cat households whenever we can, but these can sometimes be the cats with the most health issues. Although we love Alfie and Thor dearly, they have certainly cost us a lot with their rehoming requirements, dental extractions, and investigations and treatments of Alfies digestive issues 😱
If you're at all able to, please donate however much you can to our JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/rspcacroydon-crystalpalace, we very much appreciate it 🙏❤️
Licorice and Truffle have really embraced kitten-hood 😍 These guys are ready to go to their new homes, but we are still looking for the right family!
This gorgeous pair and their other siblings came from a multi-cat household of 30 cats 😱 Because of this they aren't accustomed to being stroked or picked up yet, but they are coming along leaps and bounds and clearly have no problem starting a beautiful, positive relationship with their fosterer ❤️🩹
If you're interested in adopting Licorice and Truffle, or their siblings Olive and Pepper, do get in touch at [email protected] 🙏
We've had no love for our gentle Charlie, can you believe it? 😱
He's a younger boy at 2 or 3 years old, and we think he will be perfect for a slower household as he can be quite independent of his time. If you're looking for a cat but don't want one that is high energy, then Charlie is the one for you 🙏
He has proven in his foster home how patient he can be with children - even visitting children ❤️
If you're interested in adopting Charlie, please email us at [email protected] to have a chat with us!
Earlier this year we had a stray cat called Rubic who was brought into us after her and her very young kittens were found abandoned in a garage. They were cared for in one of our foster homes while the kittens needed to stay with mum, but it became apparent pretty quickly that Rubic was not a house cat!
If a cat isn’t used to be around people from birth, or has a large break from being cared for in the traditional sense in a home, then we look for ‘alternative’ homes for them. This essentially means having an owner, who can provide them with food, shelter and watch out for any injuries, but the cat has their space and freedom.
We were lucky enough to find Rubic a lovely small holding where Rubic can roam the local countryside but also gets the security of shelter and regular meals. She’s also a champion mouse catcher!
Here she is living her best life! 😻

Rupee
Rupee came to us back in the spring after his owner was evicted. He was in a bad way, covered in fleas and ticks, and was not used to being around people or being handled. As a long haired cat and because his owner was not able to give him the proper care, his hair was extremely matted too.
We got him into a foster home after his initial vet treatment but then he suddenly developed an issue with his eye, he had extreme pressure and the site was very swollen. After an emergency vet appointment we were advised to remove the eye asap.
However we then got some good news for Rupee! We managed to find him a new home where he could have his own space and privacy which is essential for cats like Rupee who are not comfortable around people. But he would be cared for and fed, and also have access to textured areas where he can get help in grooming himself to keep his fur in better condition.
And here he is now! He’s been totally transformed and looks so much happier, healthier and more relaxed in his new surroundings.
Caring for cats like Rupee is very expensive, especially when unexpected medical problems crop up! We really want to keep helping the animals who need us most, but we can’t do it without your donations.
Please visit our Just Giving page 👉🏽 https://www.justgiving.com/rspcacroydon-crystalpalace so we can keep helping cats like Rupee enjoy the happy, safe life they deserve!
Thank you! 😻
