Stunningly beautiful morning at Mote End Farm, Group Puppy Class in Winter Wonderland - very cold but stunning! Two of our class of four this morning, NSDTR Zazie and Flat coated Retriever Plum… excellent progress all; focus, heel, recall, and learning to give a puppy dummy to hand 👏🏻❤️🐾

Beautiful frosty and sunny morning, training at Rickney’s nr. Bengeo with Abbie and Harriet and the Riverlily team. Great fun, Ripley thoroughly enjoyed Abbie’s training challenges, long run out memories, blinds, hunting and retrieving through hedges and grass cover and out of sight over ditches. 👏🏻🥰🐾 very pleased with her progress… some super fast deliveries to hand, homework work on; steadiness, heel work and not fidgeting 😜

Lovely Group Puppy Class at Mote End Farm this afternoon. All the dogs did brilliantly, learning good manners, sitting calmly and doing nothing in particular, walking to heel on a loose lead, recall, sit/stay and now building distance, baby retrieving game and focus on their handlers and not each other … top job one and all 👏🏻🐾🥰

So very proud of Ellie with her sweet girl Lucky, practicing foundation exercises for her support dog assessment on Monday.

Lucky was nervous of waking to heel and close to Ellie’s wheelchair and recalling back to the footplate, sit/stays with Ellie at a distance, being calm and steady in shops and other busy public places. With patience and encouragement this is a snap shot of how far they’ve come together 👏🏻

All going well Lucky will be accepted to attend a 6wk residential training programme, to learn how to help Ellie in the house and out and about.

Cold game training session with Harriet today - second time Ripley’s experienced picking up a real bird, she found it VERY exciting! Ran about with a partridge in a sock like a lunatic, throughly enjoyed herself 🤣 Then we got a bit more focused on actually holding a hen pheasant in her mouth and bringing it towards my hand. Lots to practice with birds and taking it back to basics with her. Love her zest for life and sheer enthusiasm 👏🏻🐾

Training in the glorious Autumn sunshine this afternoon. Bit windy on the cross country hill at Mote End Farm. Matlock and Ripley had a great time. Memories and hunting blinds, very good dogs 👏🏻🐾🥰

Ripley absolutely LOVED the Riverlily Working Dogs class with Harriet this afternoon, memories, steadiness and heel work off lead, scenting and sweeping up with all the dogs. Super happy with her recall and focus finding and retrieving to hand with all the dogs working off lead… with an audience of nosey cows looking on. Great fun.

Ripley’s beautiful mummy, Kite 😍 beautiful and talented girl inside and out. Jenny King, thank you for trusting me with one of her daughters, Ripley is an absolute joy to train and loves it!

Kite joined us for a day out picking up and she loved it❤️🎉
Steady off lead for three drives even when Uncle Sherman was sent for a runner from her side during the drive 🎉
She also got the hang of hunting the cover herself and was rewarded with two great finds in the maize🎉👍

Great General Ability Group and Puppy Classes today at Mote End Farm. All the dogs did brilliantly, so proud of everyone’s progress. The blue sky and amazing Autumn sunshine helped of course! Top job everyone 👏🏻🐾❤️🥰

Very happy training session this morning with Tina and young Working Cocker Spaniel Arlo and renown pet sitters Nick and Julie at the Turville Estate. Glorious sunshine and breath taking views across the early morning dewy fields and estate forest. Working on correct heel positioning, recall, steadiness and focus with distractions. Then lots of fun with Matlock and Ripley in the woods and playing the ‘stop’ game.

Another great Riverlily Working Dogs training session with Harriet in the beautiful Autumn sunshine this afternoon. Glorious colours reflected on the river. Ripley had great fun retrieving blinds, memory’s and marks along the riverbank and up the hills. Can’t knock her enthusiasm, SO pleased with her progress, she’s a joy to train and loves her job so much! Very proud 👏🏻🥰🐾

Super training classes yesterday in the Autumn sunshine. Everyone worked very hard, wonderful to see all the dogs progress. General Ability Class worked on: refining heel work and positioning, focus with distractions, retrieving and delivery with memories and steadiness around other working dogs. The Group Puppy Class worked on foundation training, focus, recall, heel work, sit at heel, good manners and baby play retrieves to encourage trust and partnership. Everyone did brilliantly 🐾👏🏻❤️
