This is a very inspiring story of their journey with their adopted FIV+ cat, Kenzo. From the shelter to their home and now forever in their hearts. Very touching to see how Kenzo charmed and converted a few people into cat lovers 🙂
The authors gifted the book to help with our vet bills. But our cat CEO Rabbit would like to use the sales to send food to rescuers caring for FIV cats.
All cat lovers must have a copy. It also makes a wonderful gift for year-end parties. You never know how many people will become cat lovers because of Kenzo's story!

Gold-D FIV Having a new pet can be an opportunity to save a life, especially when you adopt a cat or dog that are unlikely to be adopted.
We adopted Mr. Squid because he is a FIV+ adult cat who lost an eye. The chances of rehoming him is meager.
When he arrived, he turned out to be such a sweet and adorable little boy. He is also very popular with his siblings.
We feel so happy when we see him relax and carefree.
He knows he has a home and he can do anything like wants in his home.

2 months ago, we rescued this cat. We believe he was being adopted and taken as a pet based on all the evidence we collected. But he was badly neglected before he was thrown ut or escaped!
Now he is with us and we are nursing him back to health

This is little Puteh. He was a com cat and FIV+ wth kidney failure.
What is there to do except to love him.
Once he settled down, he turn out to be a very sweet and chatty cat.
We need to medicate and subcut him daily. We use that as a binding time and we will chat with him and tell him how amazing it is to have a cat like him!
Since he's so chatty, we are going to do a little video on him so that everyone can hear his sweet cheerful voice :-)

Today is Uncle Rob's birthday. He left us in 2021 but we still remember him and love him.
WE adopted Uncle Rob because his ex-owner took him to the vet to put him down. The vet did not find anything medical reason to do that so the family said he is smelly.
Uncle Rob became our cats' doting grandpa and is not smelly. He was never smelly!

In Nov 2018, Uncle Rob's ex-owners wanted to euthanize him and the reason was, he is "smelly". To save Uncle Rob, we adopted him.We enjoyed 3 very happy year...

Our program, "Food for Thought," discusses animal welfare issues. Each topic is represented by a donut.
The Pink Donut is for women in animal welfare, and we invite the ladies to share the challenges they face in rescue work—issues that male rescuers do not face! They shared many insights!

As we collected all the data on Rush, we believe he was severely neglected, causing him to lose so much weight.
So it is very lucky that he was found before he starved to death.
We want Rush to know that it is all in the past. Now, he has a home and our priority is for him to eat, to recuperate and to get well.
Meanwhile, his big brother Asher says no one gets to bully Rush. He is there to protect him!

Rush is our rescue cat. He appeared on the street and was extremely thin. We thought it might be FIV, FeLV, kidney failure or pancreatitis. It was none of the above. Everything was fine. So, we wanted him to gain weight, and if that happens, it will eliminate cancer. He has gained some weight so we suspect it might be a case of severe neglect. Our aim now is to help him put on more weight.

Rush is a very intelligent cat.
Told Rush if he did something, it would make his papa very happy.
He asked what it was? Answer: To see Rush eat more, gain weight, and be healthy. And he began eating away!

When Julie first came to us, she was in very bad shape.
Just finished her ear cancer surgery, her eye swelled, and she was highly uncomfortable. It took a lot of time to help her heal.
Luckily, we had the cats who helped us assure Julie. The loving environment certainly helped her recover and she understood that as well.
Now, Julie has become a loving big sister and helps us to look after the new cats. She is very sweet. caring and affectionate and helps to make the new cats comfortable and feel loved and welcomed.

7 years ago, we rescued Chorny Kot from an industrial estate. He was very sick and we had to take him to the vet many times.
Just before we rescued him, we also took in Rusty, Sandy and Mandy. They accepted him as their new little brother. We believe their love help Chorny to get well.
And now 7 years later, Chorny is a happy, healthy and handsome boy!

Happy Birthday Grandpa Joe!
Last year, a "rescue" group took him to the vet for PTS.
The vet saw it for what it is - convenience euthanasia and asked if we would adopt him.
Today, more than a year after he was almost put down, Grandpa Joe celebrates his 16th birthday.
To us, rescue work is about saving lives and understanding what animals need to get well. We don't have the right to end their lives.

Sammy is the cat who fell and broke his pelvis. We rescued him and sent him for surgery. After being discharged, he needed cage rest and was still in pain. Dillion would encourage Sammy and assure him.
Dillion had nerve generation and became bed ridden.
Sammy would stay by him and let him know everyone loves him.
Rescue work can be stressful and even depressing.
But moments like this puts things into perspective.
It is all worth it!

A tribute to Dillion. We adopted him when he has nerve degeneration. There were difficult moments but we did everything we can to make sure he is happy and comfortable.
He is a very sweet boy and if we can choose again, we will still adopt him and to love him.
In loving memory of a very sweet and special baby.

This is Lembu our new rescue.
He is FIV+ with kidney failure, high blood pressure and a detached retina. It is too dangerous for him to be on the streets so we have adopted him.
We are giving him blood pressure medication and doing subcut.
The hope is for his kidney to be stable his blood pressure to go down and be stable. When this happens, we can look into surgery to rectify the retina. When his vision is restored, he will be much more comfortable.
We are very happy he allows us to medicate and subcut etc. Hoping for the best
