Time flies! It is almost a year since Rush came to us.
It was a fight to help him get well. To gain weight, fight off ringworm and hoping he will not get another heart attack.
Today, Rush is a healthy boy and is helping his papa to look after the new rescues. He is also enjoying his time with his many siblings!
This was the video we made after we rescued him. We will do another one for him to celebrate his recovery a year later. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MjX8VVHInE

Happy Birthday Grandpa Oldie.
Oldie is a senior com cat and used to hiss at anyone who goes near him. But one day, his eye was infected and it was getting worse. One feeder tried and managed to trap him. His eye had to be removed and he was found to be FIV+.
Had there been further delay, he will probably have lost his other eye or even died. Thanks to the feeder, he was rescued in time.
But he required detailed post-care and to prevent the surgery site from further infection. To make things worse, the other eye became infected so the vet was not sure if it was an infection or cancer.
Being a senior FIV+ cat with one eye and possibly cancer, it was very hard to rehome him so we offered to adopt Oldie.
He was hissing at us for the first week but eventually he decided we are ok and became very affectionate.
Thanks to the rescuer, his life was saved. Today, we are very happy to celebrate his 16th birthday! He wants to say thank you to his rescuer.
This is his story: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yY2IdAg_jTo

Grandpa Oldie's wound has completely healed.
But his skin is very thin and breaks easily.
We did expect the healing to take a while because he is 16yo, FIV+, and anemic. His recovery is a good sig,n and we tell him we are very proud of him. Although he is at the end stage of FIV and of advanced age, he enjoys his food and happily naps and plays. We just be there to do everything for him and make sure he is happy.

Sotng lost an eye due to flu and infection. When he was rescued, it was too late to save the eye. His rescuer had a hard time finishing a foster. Most people were worried about his FIV status. Eventually, he had to put sotong into boarding, incurring a monthly fee.
We are unable to adopt him at that time because of many cats who need additional medical care. We adopted him when we can so that the rescuer dont have to incur the monthly boarding fee.
Sotong settled down so nicely with his new siblings. He is very popular and everyone just loves him!
Dont give up on FIV+ cats.

Oliver is a Singapore Special we adopted. He was found with a nail that had pierced his paw and become infected.
After rescue, he was fostered and later adopted by us.
Today is a very special day for us! 2 months ago today, Oliver came to us! He is such a sweet boy since the day he arrived. We never had a difficult moment with him. When we pat, hug or show him affection, there is always a big happy smile on his face.
With the arrival of Oledia, he has his sister who is always watching over him and showing him affection. His GR siblings Buter and Russel are extremely fond of him. They always looked for him when they want to play or eat. Thanks to them., Oliver feels very loved and pampered. He had a hard life on the street, now is the time for us to shower him with all the love and make him a supper happy boy! He deserves all the love in the world!

Today, we celebrate the birthday of Rusty and Sady. 8yo! How time flies!!! Rusty, Sandy, and Mandy were born on a heavy industry sit,e and their mother was killed by a dog shortly after she gave birth.
They were looked after by the kind construction workers. But a site was hazardous for 3 growing kittens, so we adopted them in 2018.
Mandy was very sick as a kitten and was FeLV+. It took more than a year before she tested negative. We believe their mother was malnourished, and Mandy was undernourished as a kitten. She passed away 2 years ago.
Now, we have Rusty and Sad,y and Rusty continues to be the loving big brother to Sandy and they still snuggle when they sleep. They also adopted Chorny, our rescued kitten, as their little brother.
It has been a long journey and we are very happy to celebrate this special day for Rusty and Sandy!

We are very happy Grandpa Oldie is getting better. His wound healing is very slow but luckily stable. He is senior and FIV+ so it is not unexpected.
Oldie is very lucky to have met the rescuer who rushed him for his eye surgery. That saved his life! He was hissing at people all the time and we are glad he relaisded he dont need to do that anymore! These days when we hear him meow non stop, it means he wants a hug 🙂

We were planning Cory's birthday and wondering how to do it since we cannot go near him. Now, we wont be able to do it since he has left.
We take in many animals with health issues, trauma and also dying. They had a hard time on the street before coming to us. Every day alive is a gift. That is why we came up with the idea to celebrate their birthday.
It is our way of telling them never mind what has happen in the past. It is all over now and we will love you and make you happy for the rest of your life.
We never know when they might go or in cory's case go sudendly. That we cannot control.
But what we can do is to make sure they feel happy, loved and pampered every day with us.
Now Cory is free from this world. Head to the rainbow bridge! Alot of siblings waiting to welcome you.

We will give the cake topper to his rescuer as a memory of Cory.

This is Uncle Rabbit and he is our cat CEO.
He is 14 years old, FIV+, and had a stroke 2 months ago. He also has high blood pressure and issues with his kidneys, heart, and gallbladder. He is also anemic, which is very common with FIV+ cats.
After his stroke, he recovered slowly and can now walk and even jump. Every day, we need to subcut him, give him his blood pressure medication and a host of supplements.
At this point, we are very happy that he is comfortable and can move, eat and drink on his own and to enjoy time surrounded by the little ones.

Today, we also celebrated Diamond's birthday.
Diamond was abandoned and initially thought to be a pedigree. Many people wanted to adopt her. But when her heart condition was made known, no one wanted her. After we adopted her, she was the baby of the family and extremely pampered by her siblings. She has become a very sweet and caring girl. When we took in Sapphaire, a senior cat, Diamond was the first to welcome her and even gave her a kiss. Just before we took Hissy to the vet, Diamond gave her a kiss!
She has been healthy since we adopted her and today, we celebrated her 4th birthday!
