🙀🙀Greasy tail is not uncommon for tom cats especially during spring and summer.🙀🙀
🐱🐱Excessive grease will be oxidized on the surface of skin, causing blocked follicles. If not being well addressed, hair loss and skin problems can be persistent. Intensive and harsh shampoos are not likely to help, or causing dry skins on the hot spots.

🧡At Iv San Bernard, we always talk about skin care and correct way of wash and brushing. Most of our clients have realized the importance of correct wash, as when pets are washed and maintained well, shaving is not necessary anymore.
🧐Why we always emphasize the importance of skin care?
☝Skin is the largest organ (approximately 12% of a dog's body weight)
☝Potential problems will be firstly reflected in the skin (itching, hair loss, and bad smells)

🌞As groomers, we should focus on pet health before styling. Hence, although we have premium techniques of using scissors, we always focus on the way of wash, and spend 1-2 hours of washing so that pets can be healthier and happier.

👏👏This case shows the power of Iv San Bernard.
😿The cat had skin issues and suffered coat loss. It can be seen that the cat skin was over keratinization and our treatment wash can calm down the skin and get the skin condition back to normal.
☝Normal maintenance cycle is 21 days but such case here requires treatment wash every other week as problematic skins renew themselves in around 14 days. We also combined with ozone machine to increase the power of products and treatment.
🧡🧡🧡Background Story🧡🧡🧡
🐯This cat was sent to our salon for a wash as the owner found the cat was itching. We identified skin issues during the pre-brush before wash. The cat was then sent to vet as the owner had doubts on our treatment wash. However, the skin issues only got worse after one and half months of different tests, and the cat lost all the back coat during this back and forth.
🌟The owner then asked for help for hair growth (didn't mention the skin issue was persistent) and we recommended Mineral H. Although the skin conditioners are still not perfect, the owner saw the coat grew back and convenienced that the products can really help!
🤩Now the cat was with us for 2 sessions of treatment washes and the skin is already in good condition. We are expecting the skin get back to perfect condition after another treatment wash.

The reason is the majority of dogs are medium-coat structured, and all cats are considered as medium-coat structured. Banana Conditioner is a special balsam to give softness and shine to medium haired coats. Its natural based elements have a restoring effect and make rough coats smooth and easy to comb.

🥺🥺🥺🥺Emotional osmosis🥺🥺🥺🥺 is common for both dogs and cats, but for cats, this problem is almost overlooked.
😼😼😼Cats are beautiful creatures and perfect predators, so they give us the feeling they are very independent and can take care of themselves. It is WRONG A HUNDREDS MILLIONS MILES!!!
👼👼👼If we compare dogs as babies, felines are more like adult most of the time, and they are good at hiding pains, sorrows and problems. If a dog was hurt, they will ask for your attention; but if a cat had any problems, they will try to hide, so they actually need more attention from us!
😽😽😽Regular wash and groom are not pressures for cats, and the only reason we feel they are pressured and dislike water is because they are never being regularly maintained!!!
🐯🐯🐯Do you see tigers stay in the water with no problems? Cats are small tigers!!! If you wash them regularly, you will find that they actually love water!!!
☝️☝️☝️You may say that cats can groom themselves with them tongues. WRONG! Please check with our unique that cats do that because they are experiencing stress. Cats' skin are so thin so the heat caused by stress and pressure will be passed to the surface instantly. Hence, they will try to use saliva to reduce the temperature and calm themselves down. It has little to do with cleaning (but yes, they can take some of the dirt or organize themselves and they can organize themselves sometimes, but it cannot compare with a good grooming).
As professional groomers, we love pets and we contribute to pet welfare, so we should not forget cats!
Also, please do not forget, dogs have emotional osmosis as well. Correct wash and keeping skin healthy and coat correctly but not shaving to the skin will keep them happier and healthier!!!

Banana shampoo with a rich banana fragrance, for medium coated animals. Its gentle and gives the hair elasticity, making it shiny and soft. This shampoo is the first step to be followed with Banana Conditioner. This product is over 90% biodegradable.
It is a common misunderstanding that cats are differentiated by the length of coats, but not for washing. All cats are categorized as "medium coat structure" so banana shampoo and conditioner is perfect for regular maintenance for all cats.

Iv San Bernard recommend regular eye care for pets. Regular maintenance of pet eyes is as important as skin care. It can keep pet eyes healthy and reduce the likelihood of oxidised eye areas. A PH balanced eye area can reduce itching and increase pet happiness.
