Our team had one of the teeniest, tiniest and CUTEST dogs in yesterday! Everyone wanted a cuddle!
Little Bear was bought in to see us and was found to be hypoglycaemic (low blood sugar). After some treatment, food and of course lots of fuss! 🤗
Little Bear went home later in the day 💙

Some pets need more patience than others…. Everyone meet Georgia! 🥰
Georgia is a rescued street dog, no one really knows her history and what she may have been through 🥺
Recently she visited us, as she requires some minor procedures but due to her being SO stressed, despite our best attempts, we weren’t able to proceed without causing Georgia unnecessary heightened stress and fear.
We decided that it would be best to send her home and try again with some medication already on board before she came back, this should help her feel more relaxed.
Whilst she was with us waiting for her owners to collect her, our senior and clinical lead nurse Natalie, utilised the time to help Georgia to feel relaxed by trying to build her confidence with us by letting Georgia show us her tricks and LOTS of treats 🥰
Georgia is the sweetest soul! We hope that in time she learns that we aren’t out to hurt her
❓Did you know….❓
Some of our nursing team hold desensitisation clinics, completely free of charge for those pets that are more nervous/scared. They will make a fuss and give treats and take it slowly to help them build their trust which will help any future vet visits be less stressful for them, and you!
If you would like more information, please email our team and we shall get back to you ☺️

Here is our clinical lead nurse Natalie, giving laddoo some well received kisses and cuddles after his recovery for his neutering procedure last week - we aren’t sure who enjoyed them more! 🥰
We are so lucky to have such a fab team here at Blackheath vets, all our staff really do care and treat our patients as if they were their own when they are here with us.
