Launching our Spitz Lates with …. Q***r Ecology w/Connor Butler ( ) 🌈

This gentle walk invites all curious minds to view nature from a new perspective, celebrating diversity in all life. Connor will guide you to explore the diverse and unusual lifecycles in common plants and animals right within the farm 🌿

There will be pizza, games and music- bring a friend or come and meet new friends and have fun in nature.

Farmyard assistant Emma will be running a wet-felting workshop in the morning (10-12pm), with an opportunity to learn more about the process of wool!

In the afternoon (1-3pm) Emma will be running a skull workshop giving you a chance to get up close to a range of animals skulls and taxidermied creatures!!

Ages 5-15, drop-in! Just turn up on the day, no booking required ✨

Join us for a 4-course tasting menu under the stars with Chef Guillaume Gillan on Saturday August 17th at Spitalfields City Farm. All the dishes and drinks are created from ingredients grown on the farm. Expect great innovative food, fresh cocktails, music and fire under the stars.

Meet the Trustees this Saturday 27th July between 10.30am to 12.30pm ✨

As a charity Spitalfields City Farm has a Board of Trustees who play a crucial role in the stewardship and sustainability of the charity, ensuring it can fulfil its mission and make a positive impact.

The Trustees will be at the gates of the farm this Saturday to meet our community, volunteers and visitors. We would love be hear about the farms impact, what people like, what people would like to see more of and anything else you would like to share. So why not stop by, say hello and have your say.

Join us tomorrow for a one day exhibition featuring artwork from the wonderful trainees at Poetry in Wood. Showcasing the range of work created by their trainers, the exhibition will run from 11am-4pm in the lodge at the farm.

Artworks will be for sale on the day (cash and card accepted) and commissions can also be discussed with the team.

Poetry in Wood offers training for people with learning disabilities and is based around the corner for the farm.

Many hands make light work ✨

We are just getting started with our busiest period for Team Challenge Days! Our corporate volunteers help us with some of the bigger jobs around the farm that we can’t do alone.

It’s thanks to these groups that the farm continues to be a fruitful and beautiful place to visit!

🌿 Plant of the month - SAGE 🌿

Picked by Chris, lead grower of the farm; Mays plant of the month is ✨Sage✨

🌱 Our Sage bush in the gardens by the sheep paddock is looking fuller than ever. Swipe to see a picture of the full sage bush. Due to the mild winter, it’s now in full bloom and will likely survive all year round! It should be planted around spring and originates from the Mediterranean region.

🌱 Sage is a member of the mint family and it’s scientific name is Salvie, coming from the word Salvare which means ‘to heal’ or ‘to save’. The name is a reference to its long use in medicine.

🌱 Sage has been said to have antioxidant benefits. It can be harvested and made into teas, used as a rub for meats, sprinkled on soup, mixed into stuffing or even made into seasoning. Burning sage is often used to cleanse a space of negative energy, and purify spaces, promoting healing and wisdom! 💫

Introducing some of our newest arrivals… 🎉

On the 4th of April we welcomed our first two Castlemilk Moorit lambs with a further two being born on the 7th of April!

We have two female (ewe) lambs named Saffron and Samphire and two male (wether) lambs called Siddle and Silver 🐑

Come and visit them out on the farmyard from Tuesday to Sundays from 10-4:30pm!

Join farmer Emma on Sunday 19th May for another sheep needle felting workshop. Get the chance to meet the sheep and lambs up close, learn about the wonders of wool and create your very own little sheep to take home with you. Lunch from our Tea Hut cafe is included in the price.

Cost: £95 (2 places available at £25 for Tower Hamlets residents who meet certain criteria such as Universal Credit, ESA or JSA).

Please note that this workshop is for over 18s only.
