Free entry, open daily, 9am -5pm. Visitors welcome. Kentish Town City Farm is a charity providing educational, therapeutic and creative activities.

Founded in 1972, Kentish Town City Farm is a charity helping local families, offering educational, therapeutic and creative opportunities in an urban farm setting. It developed out of the needs of people living in an urban environment to connect with animals and nature and is a focal point for the local community today. Entrance is free but we rely on visitor donations for the upkeep of the animal

s. The farm has a small core staff but depends on volunteers to help out. Children and young people are encouraged to participate in all aspects of animal care, from mucking out to helping with feeds and site maintenance. Adult volunteers also help plan and run seasonal fundraising events, holiday activities for children and help out in the farm office. The farm has a stock of chickens, cows, ducks, geese, goats, horses, pigs and sheep with some rare breeds. They are friendly and used to visitors. Piglets and lambs are born at the farm each year. The farm is located amidst dense local authority housing in North London, covering four and half acres, beside local train lines. The Farm has a classroom, under 5's activity room, a training room, fitted kitchen, stables, community fruit and vegetable gardens and seating areas. It also has disabled access including hard paths and decks throughout. As well as providing pony riding opportunities for local children the farm has also been offering Riding Therapy for children with disabilities for 40 years. We serve children with autism, learning and physical disabilities, including children who cannot walk or with limited mobility. 🌿 Looking for something to do with the smallest farmers 🧑🏼‍🌾 in your life?

👦🏽Young nature Explorers 👧🏼 runs every Tuesday, 10am - 11:30am. Pre-schoolers, bring your grown ups and explore nature on the farm! 🌿 Find bugs 🐛play in our mud kitchen, 🪣 do arts and crafts, meet the animals 🐑 help us plant food for the farm residents 🐰🥕 and so much more! 🚜

🏺 Pottery with our amazing Pedro runs every Wednesday in term time, 4pm - 5pm, for all school-age children. Each session is £5 per child, just drop in to the art room 🎨 (or the yard in summer!) ☀️ and make some amazing clay creations to take home with you! 🪴

It’s nearly time for us to collect your real Christmas trees, there’s still time to book in a collection!

🎄We will be collecting your trees over the weekend of the 3rd - 5th of January 2025🎄

Some will be eaten by our goats & sheep as a tasty evergreen treat…. they’ve been pine-ing for them all year 🐐 🌲 The rest will be chipped on site & available for mulch, used on pathways, in the gardens etc.

Founded in 1972, the UK’s 1st City Farm has been offering lifelong learning, outdoor therapy, education to children, adults with special needs and anyone needing respite from the strains of urban life.

Ahead of the festive season, we are calling on your support to help build a brand new home for their amazing Goat herd!

The current goat house is an original part of the farm and over 50 years old, so in need of constant patching and repairing.

Every penny raised will go towards building the most wonderful, cosy, dreamy goat home, with an improved outdoor space and enrichment to keep our goaty friends happy and healthy.

Children and young people are encouraged to participate in all aspects of animal care, from mucking out to helping with feeds and site maintenance. Adult volunteers also help plan and run seasonal fundraising events, holiday activities for children and help out in the farm office. The farm has a stock of chickens, ducks, geese, goats, horses, donkeys, pigs and cow and sheep with some rare breeds. They are friendly and used to visitors. Piglets, goat-kids and lambs are born at the farm each year. The farm is located amidst dense local authority housing in North London, covering four and half acres, beside local train lines. The Farm has a classroom, under 5's activity room, a training room, fitted kitchen, community fruit and vegetable gardens and seating areas. It also has disabled access including hard paths and decks throughout. As well as providing pony riding opportunities for local children the farm has also been offering Riding Therapy for children with disabilities for 45 years. We serve children with autism, learning and physical disabilities, including children who cannot walk or with limited mobility. The farm is open between 9-5 and open 7 days a week all year round. Everybody is welcome to visit and see the animals and enjoy a farm environment in the city. Entry is free.
