I love chunky knits, so I made sure to add this handmade wool beauty to our store. It looks great and is pretty functional too, as wool comes with plenty of natural insulating properties.

Our foster kittens spent their entire first months sleeping and playfighting in ours; so it’s only good that the beds were reinforced with jute cord to maintain their beautiful shape

I‘ve been a little quiet on here lately because I‘ve fulfilled a lifelong dream of mine - I’ve become a foster home! In my first months I‘ve been entrusted with bringing up kittens … and making them roar! I‘ve learned so much already and a massive help and source of inspiration comes from Hannah Shaw aka . Teaching your puppy solid canine citizen tricks is super important, especially for those furballs who tend to make up their own mind about things. Getting them comfortable with having a bath is part of the behaviours they should learn how to master. Our late Axel had issues with both, so trust me when I say that consistent and regular training cannot start early enough 🙈

Use a mild puppy shampoo like the all natural WildWash shampoos. The calming shampoo is kind to your puppy’s skin and quick rinsing. Its and essential oils are calming and make it perfect for a puppy’s first bath. To pad your dog dry, use a super soft towel such as one made from sustainable bamboo fabric that absorbs up to 60% more water than regular cotton towels.

Homage to the Dachshund My very first pet was a little Dachshund called Axel. He came into my life when I was about 6 years old and taught me what red, longhaired, badass little sausage dogs are made of. Courageous, and stubborn, always playful and with a huge love for cuddles, for me, my Axel was the most gorgeous, beautiful and loyal friend out there. I’ve been thinking about him lots over the years and to pay him homage, I made a little silver pendant with the help of Rose from @cicelycliffjewellery. Using 100% recycled silver saved from electronics and things like ipads, computers or phones our Axel will suit anyone who has fallen in love with this astonishing small breed. Their dog biscuits come in fancy combos such as Carrot & Turmeric or Kale & Seaweed, but the treat that went fastest with the hungry furs here at Roar were the little dried fish bites.
