CAN ANYONE HELP RIO ABANDONED AT A BOARDING KENNELS
This is Rio He was abandoned at boarding kennels last December. In Northern cyprus .Rio was taken for a 2 week stay and the owner never collected him . They left the island without a second glance . Thanks to the lovely owners at the kennels they wouldn't throw him to the streets . And with donations and a very nice uk based Cypriot gentleman we have got the funds to send him to the uk . Rio is just adorable and full of energy . He's around 3 and a half years old and has waited 8 months for a loving home .All that's needed is YOU .vaccinated and rabies complete. RIO can fly by early October.Time is running out for Rio as the funds to keep him in kennels will end by mid October Please let's get Rio out of North cyprus and start his new adventure with a good loving family . Foster or forever home needed. Homechecks apply. Full rescue back up via Animal Adoption International please like our page https://www.facebook.com/share/1A3dPbRTTq/

So we have had a bad couple of days and sad to say we lost Havok 2 days ago. He had been renamed Opie which we all thought was much nicer. Opie went down hill quite suddenly and was panting and couldn't really walk. He had muscle wastage in his back legs caused by osteo arthritis and the pain killers were not working. They also suspected heart issues but the decision was taken not to leave him over night in the vet as it would be so stressful for him and the vet thought he wouldn't last the night. He couldn't get up and the decision was made to put him to sleep in his foster mums arms. It's been really emotional as he was rescued from an awful sanctuary where the dogs were locked up and denied vet care. The first video was when he arrived at Julie's a frightened mess. You can see how he blossomed and he had a lovely life running free most of the time on her grounds. He spent a year and a half there and we think he was 13 years old. We so wished he would have had a few more years of love and safety but it wasn't to be. Thank you to Julie for giving him such great care, he had a wonderful year and a half RIP OPIE/Havok

Pheobe is still looking for her forever home...it's really important she finds her forever sofa soo. Her Dad died and she was left in the care of someone with mental health issues and we had to get her back via the police. She's a dream of a dog, older but very sweet and still loves her walks. We would give preference to someone who would also take Ella, her best friend but she is an old 40 kilo dog so we know not likely. Pheobe needs a quiet home with a nice secure garden, ideally with another dog but that's not a deal breaker. Not cat tested and we don't home old dogs with children. Pheobe is fostered in Surrey, homechecks apply. Full rescue back up via Animal Adoption International please like our page https://www.facebook.com/share/12EMiDW1cmC/

India’s Supreme Court just ordered all stray dogs in New Delhi to be removed from the streets and placed in shelters within 8 weeks — a decision that will gravely affect the well-being of up to a million dogs.

The reality is that shelters do not have the resources or infrastructure to support this plan. They will be overcrowded, resulting in disease, starvation, anxiety and depression for these innocent beings that would fare better in their own environment.

We call on the government and judicial authorities to consider more humane and effective solutions to put an end to India's stray dog and maintain public safety regarding rabies — ramp up sterilization and vaccination programs.

Activists are being arrested, but protests are growing. Add your voice by signing the following petition to let the Government of India know that stray dogs deserve compassion, not cages: https://www.change.org/p/reverse-the-supreme-court-s-order-on-street-dogs

They’re voiceless, but they’re not worthless.

Gorgeous Gorgeous Pheobe desperately needs to find her forever home. She is a darling of an older lady, poss 10 to 12 as we are not really sure. She's still for and loves her walks. Her Daddy died and she was left with someone with mental health issues and we had to go through the police to get her back. She is a dream of a dog. We would like her homed with her best friend Ella who is fostered elsewhere but this hasn't happened sooooo....Ella is a big older dog so almost impossible. Pheobe has always lived with dogs so would like her homed with another dog but it's not a deal breaker at all as she loves her person. No cats or children as not tested. Pheobe is fostered in Epsom but really needs her home ASAP. Homechecks apply. Full rescue back up via Animal Adoption International please like our page https://www.facebook.com/share/1ATeVdspPD/
