JUST A REMINDER, TO ALL DOG OWNERS.

⚠️🚙⚠️ Despite the warnings, hundreds of dogs in the UK die every year after being left in a hot car. Someone you know may need to read this very important message. ⚠️🚙⚠️

SIX MINUTES is all it takes for a dog to overheat in a hot car.

Your dog could suffer serious injury or die in a matter of minutes if left alone in a car.

• The temperature inside a closed vehicle left in the sun can double within 12 minutes.

• At least 75% of the temperature increase in a closed vehicle occurs within 5 minutes of closing the vehicle, and at least 89% of the temperature increase occurs within 15 minutes of closing the vehicle.

• Temperatures exceeding 104˚ F can lead to death or serious injury for the occupants.

• Temperatures in a closed vehicle sitting in the hot sun can reach 160˚F and above. An animal will suffer immeasurably and may die before the temperature reaches 150˚F.

• Even when parked in the shade, the vehicle temperatures can exceed 104˚C.

• Leaving windows down more than 2 inches on an unattended vehicle will not prevent a car from reaching extreme temperatures.

• Even if the animal is revived, they can die due to severe internal organ damage.

Your dog trusts you to have their best interest at heart ALWAYS.
Please don’t risk their safety.

If you are not taking your dog inside your destination with you, PLEASE leave them at home where they are comfortable and safe.

Thanks to each and every one of you for all your get well wishes , messages of support and visits , flowers and gifts and school cake from and also my Florence Nightingale nurse
I’ve just reached the end of week 2 with my bionic knee . I’ve had my 28 staples out , wound is looking good and healing well . Once this has healed over I will be working from the van outside my house approx 2 weeks until I can drive . Which should be around 4-5 weeks from now.
I can’t say the last two weeks have been easy . The pain has been off the scale, nighttime’s have been the worst with no sleep. So a call with the Gp and I think now we have that sorted with the upping of pain meds at night. But I can already feel the difference in the joint , it’s just how they got it in there 🔨 I’d say it’s going to be worth every ounce pain I’ve endured . I can’t wait to get the left one done !!
Thank you again and please bear with me . I’ve a list of the first dogs that I’ve missed over the last few weeks so I’m going to take it slow and start with one dog a day building to 2 then 3 and work through the list I won’t run 🏃🏻‍♀️ before I can walk 🚶 😊 😘

Day 4 update 🦿
Home from hospital late last night . Went upstairs with the best cup of tea in days !! Slept from 10:30 till 6am took first lot of pain killers then napped and had 2nd lot . So now up washed and dressed , done my exercises and walking well and icing in between.
Actual joint feels good it’s just what they have done to put the new knee in . I’ve got this !! 🦿💪🏻

Many tears is looking for a full time vet or at least three or four days a week. No weekends or after hours, 8-hour days. We are looking for a vet happy to train the staff and any new vet wanting to volunteer and get some spay or neuter experience.
Yes, it is a lot of spays, but also other ops like c sections hernia repairs, entropion , Nasal wedges and sadly some times amputations.
In between neutering the vet would need to be happy to see the dogs with ear or eye problems or what ever else the dogs or cats may need to ensure their health.

We can negotiate pay depending on experience. We are based near Carmarthen Wales. We do have a place to live short term if you need to relocate until your perfect accommodation is found. Please contact Sylvia via e mail [email protected]

Good morning everyone , I have a new Knee !! Lego one thanks to 🤣
So just an update on how it all went . I was supposed to have an epidural and sedation but they tried for 45 mins to do the epidural but couldn’t do it . So it was a bit stressful , they changed plan and gave me a General Anaesthetic. Surgeon said operation went well , have a straight leg with full movement and bend. High on drugs for pain as that’s now kicked in . Not much sleep as they check Obs overnight and topped up pain relief . So I’m ok just swollen and painful . Will be encountering Physio this morning 🦿💪🏻

Hi everyone
As you may or may not know I’ve suffered with osteoarthritis in my knees for years , due to a car accident I had around 30 years ago. Numerous operations over the years to help , lost loads of weight but only survived on painkillers . Finally I got the go ahead to have them replaced. Feeling extremely nervous and most of all as you all know me stressed more as I hate letting any of you down. So tomorrow morning I’m going in for right knee replacement, I have a physio I’ve been liaising with and my plan is once my wound has healed and I’m confident/strong enough I’ll work from home on the van doing a couple of dogs a day ,so like when I had my shoulder surgery most of you came to me, gradually building up then once I can drive safely I’ll be back out to you.
I must add that if you are desperately due in the next couple of weeks I think I covered most people 🙏🏻 Dannie Boujee Pet and Kim Nolan Funky Dogs will be on hand .

Cannot believe that on Sunday we had to say goodbye to dear Lily , her heart gave up. Broken 💔I think from losing her brother Teddy 3 months ago.
Thank you Lily for being the best Snorer and for being the best sister to Teddy . You were the final one left of ‘ The Fluffy Crew’ you will be missed beyond words. I hope now you are back with Teddy , George , Charlie and Pebbles. Chasing your ball and looking after your babies 🧸.
Love you and miss you so much , tears haven’t stopped flowing the house is so empty without you . In the arms of the Angels now 😇 🌈💔😢❤️

I want to write a thank you post for Teddy, for being the most snuggly, gentle and loyal boy. Thank you for being in my life . I’ll miss you for the rest of it 💔 You needed me as much as I needed you. Our daily routine of blood testing , feeding and injecting insulin for the last 3 years created a bond like no other , you were the best patient , never a problem with anything I had to administer. A real trooper ! All your other complications didn’t matter . You were the best.
Fly high my lovely boy , you can now run free in the fields with dear George , Charlie and Pebbles and all our other friends at the bridge. I know Mum will be looking after you , she’ll give you a Bonio now and a sausage as being diabetic you couldn’t have them .
Last Monday I let you run free and you left a Teddy size hole . Lily is sad but together we will continue our journey and remember that you gave us your unconditional love as we did you . 11 years of loving you . Fly high dear Teddy 😢🕊️🐾🌈💔

Hi lovely people , I’m so sorry for the delay in getting to you with rescheduling your appointments and booking new appointments.
Thank you for bearing with me.
Just a quick update on my van situation , it had the turbo fitted yesterday after breaking down last week , they are road testing it again today to make sure it’s completely fixed so as to get it back to me. As soon as I get the all clear to pick it up I’ll be able to send the appointments out . I think they are sick of me calling/chasing them 🤦🏼‍♀️

I have let some clients know that my van broke down Thursday on route to a client and I’ve been unable to drive it as it has no power above 10mph. So I had to cancel Thursday afternoon and Friday .
The garage did a diagnostic test and have found that the Turbo has gone and needs replacing. So they have ordered the part and it will be fitted midweek. Therefore I will be rescheduling everyone once the van is back on the road . Please bear with me . I will send out new appointments via text as soon as I have confirmation of the day it’ll be back . I’m so sorry to cancel last min . Completely fed up as it’s a £1k + to fix !!!!!!
Im sorry to let you down and I’ll see you all soon as possible xx

As you all know the extended ULEZ zone starts on Tuesday 29th August thanks to the wonderful Mayor 😠
Sadly my van is not ULEZ compliant which means every day I pull off my drive to come and groom your dogs I will be charged £12.50 to do so.
So if I work 6 days a week that’s £75 a week , £300 month , £3,600 per year !
So if everyone is in agreement I will split the £12.50 between each household that I go to during each day so most days it’ll be split between 4/5 households, if I groom multiple dogs at one house and only visit 2 houses that day I’ll split between 2
It’s not something I really want to do given the cost of living struggle that we are all experiencing but I felt this would be the fairest way forward

🥵🤬 I cannot believe whilst driving between clients this week during the day I’ve seen idiots walking and even running with their dogs , some leisurely strolling whilst looking at their phones !! The dogs lagging behind tongues hanging out struggling . Please please think about it . Walk in your winter clothes with bare feet and see how you feel 🤬 😢
No dog died by missing a walk but a walk could cause heatstroke and it could die 🐶😢

‼️‼️GRASS SEED SEASON IS HERE‼️

Please check your dogs paws , between toes , under armpits , groin area , eyes , ears and noses all over basically . They are horrible , once embedded they can cause cysts , infections and can even travel once they are under the skin . If your dog is licking his feet check for seeds , shaking his head check his ears . You will need to go to the vet to get them removed. Check after each walk 🐕

Don’t leave your Dog in your car for a minute. Don’t walk them in this heat . A dog won’t die from missing a walk but could die from heatstroke 😢🐕

A little bit of rain and the slugs come out to play - Keep your dog’s away from slug pellets containing metaldehyde, as this chemical can be very poisonous to your canine friends.

🍫 As much as we all love to indulge in some chocolate over Easter, it is important to remember that chocolate can be dangerous for our pets.

Chocolate poisoning is particularly common at this time of year, especially with the large amounts of Easter eggs that are readily available, and sometimes hidden too.

Chocolate contains theobromine, which can be toxic to dogs and cats.

To keep your pet safe, keep all chocolate away from them and opt for pet-safe treats instead.
