It’s good to that when you hold the bowl up for the dogs, they won’t touch it. from a can be an for a dog, so the best should have an option to place on the ground , whilst being stable enough to from . Ideally it should have a on it so that if you do need to carry it in a backpack it doesn’t leak . If you have a cheaper one , you will find it leaks . Not a deal breaker , just remember to keep it upright . We also like dog bowls that are designed for the car . However we do find that our dogs love to put their paws in it , right before anyone has had a chance to use it .

It is with a that we say goodbye to Sosuke the for the last time. Sosuke battled . Whilst responding well to the he tried his best , but didn’t make it . Cancer has a lot to answer for . We fondly think back to the first day we worked for Sosuke. We had been neighbours for years , but we were invited to do a house sit . Both boys were like little under a blanket . The snow was fierce outside . We had been hoping to watch the Simpsons, on demand, in peace. However Deku had shown Sosuke that Santa’s Little Helper had to go! Sosuke didn’t get it, but didn’t want to let the side down. Of course with weather this chilly , they were definitely staying in the bed that night. Despite having his own bed, he often shared with Deku, or if we really let our guard down, a cat . But we aren’t supposed to talk about that . During his , he wasn’t slowing down. Still , at Deku and being formidable around his cats . Our team adored the boys . So here’s to you , Sosuke. Thank you for being the grounded one out of the two boys . But if you could do us a favour please ;we gratefully received a gust of wind on a hot day. Actual temp 20 , feels like 16. Perfect temperature for our dogs . on Archie the . you gave us the . Having been warned our boy was off his food, we thought , not to worry, he will eat when he feels like it . As we arrived, there was a like . It was but only a drop of blood was seen here and there in the . Trouble was with two also staying in the home , who was releasing the blood ? It was decided we would wait until asked to go , look at what they offered , take it from there . Archie in the meantime, was a bit listless and not so insistent on taking up your personal space. Looked at you like he was desperate , but for what? Well, doubt was removed, Archie passed copious amounts of blood, but had managed to ask to go outside . Even when he is this poorly, he is insisting on being clean . Nothing to it, call the owner , then the vet , however , there was a in the . Our in charge had no car and the vet was 0.9miles away . Not the distance you want a to walk. Vet appointment was booked , with an hour to spare, our sitter the explaining the situation. Our team all their . Many . One of our sitters not only the of , to take Archie and his sitter to the vet , but also took the sitter’s own dog as a last minute request so that the sitter’s dog was occupied whilst they did the important job of going to the vet with Archie . Archie was a at the vet . Dad did the job of getting from to in less than an hour . In the meantime our team wanted to be kept updated on Archie’s progress. Dad of Archie was touched by this . We are pleased to say he is back to walks . did sterling work to take care of our Archie, they were particularly good about the blood all over their waiting room . So, I would like to celebrate our for their act of kindness . Our chauffeur wouldn’t even accept payment for a last minute dog on her rota , also refused a bottle of wine .

Apologies for the long message, but here goes:

On Thursday evening, while enjoying dinner and drinks at the Tooting Market, we witnessed a distressing scene with a young puppy being mishandled and abused. The whole thing escalated and resulted in the police getting involved.

Long story short, but the little puppy is now in our care temporarily.

We took her to the emergency vet on Friday. She’s a Rottweiler and is approx 12 weeks old. Other than being a bit skinny, she’s in good condition. She’s not microchipped so unlikely that she belongs to anyone yet. The vet was lovely and gave the pup all her necessary jabs at the same time etc.

She is a beautiful doggy and despite what has clearly been a rough start, her little character is coming out and she’s a real delight!

We have called her Bunny, because of Easter, and she is now looking for an amazing forever home, so please do share with friends and family.

Why Petmatix?

Petmatix was founded in 2017 after I was blessed with redundancy at the end of 2016. I had learnt from my last job that I had a strong urge to be outside and on the move; something that was lacking in my last role. Luckily, I had prepared for redundancy by signing up to a grooming course. As we believe in flexibility and accommodating our clients, we couldn’t just stop at grooming. We love our animals, big and small. We are excited about the ever changing future of Petmatix.
