We can now share the appalling conditions the Trainer that was sharing our premises kept the dogs in. The bags of kibble are full of faeces. He beat the dogs with hammers and his electric drill.
As a rescue we could not support him. I stopped him getting water as he used to kick the dogs in my area. The stench and the skeletal dogs, as well as not picking up the poo, is no excuse. This is criminal behaviour. He can't be named. He will be named in the near future so you know why you should avoid him.
The RSPCA will be monitoring him.
Yesterday his Doberman escaped. He wasn't even aware of it. I took the dog in.
I kept him with our dogs because none of the kennels are secure. The dogs are covered in faeces dating back a month. They are badly built, the dogs are wet and cold all the time. No dog has ever been to a vet.
It's horrific and we are glad they are gone.

In the past three months Bella has gone from being a very pessimistic dog to a mostly optimistic dog. She is still young and nervy and needs someone who wants to take her on and provide gentleness, space and exposure to bring out her confidence and happiness..
Bella needs someone who can let her be off lead in nature every day to dash through meadows, paddle in streams, rummage through mud, explore the woods, taste plants and find her own sticks. She also likes to roll in stink.
Indoors, Bella broods and worries. Outdoors Bella comes alive, and shows all her joy and exuberance. She even likes to sleep outside and digs her own nests in the garden.
I have not done any formal training with her as she is so anxious that currently it would just worry her. Luckily she is easy on the lead and is as happy to come bouncing back when called as she is to go bouncing away when released.
Bella is no longer afraid of most traffic, or weather, but she still gets very anxious at the local shops and is curious but cautious about the people she meets in the woods. She is now cheerful about getting in the car and casual at the vet. She loves other dogs and wants them to play with her.
Bella is extremely pretty. Her appearance combines the elegance of a wolf with the sweetness of a golden retriever. Her breed is Pastoral Dog > Livestock Guardian Dog > Maremmano-Abruzzese Sheepdog (a.k.a. Maremma). She needs someone who has an active interest in and experience of pastoral dogs and can work with their famously independent and vigilant natures.
A lot of Bella’s confidence has come from seeing her labradoodle friend Justin demonstrate fearlessness in the face of all kinds of everyday activities, so ideally she would have another dog in her new home.
