Not sure if this is something you want to see but hey weβre all in this together and I do as I teach π
Archieβs first set of ridden poles.
Yes heβs unbalanced, Iβm not fit (please be kind) however itβs a starting point and we can only improve. You can see how much Iβm letting him find his own posture through them and Iβm just encoring him to stay straight and driving the impulsion from behind.
In light of keeping it real, watch till the end where you see spots fly at speed π he can be very Hot headed and this is an example of that. I survived and we carried on to finish the session on a good note. I know a lot of clients will take pleasure in seeing this part π
Weβre trying to do this at least 1 a week π€πΌ letβs see where he is in 6 months.
If this is something you like to see let me know in the comments
Thought this would be good to share.
Archieβs first time over poles and raised poles. He hasnβt done these before mainly because he lived In a field for the last 3 years and the last 4 months Iβve spent getting him use to his first livery yard, backing him before we lost our turnout and all life throws at us.
He was such a good boy (incredible hard to lunge and film!) took everything in his stride worked it out straight away. This is something we are aiming to do once a week with as little or more poles as possible!
Hoping to get back on this week and incorporate these ridden too π¬π¬
Happy Easter everyone π° hope your having a wonderful bank holiday weekend staying at home! Thought Iβd share a recent video of my not so little foal π

My first pole work video!!!!!
This is a quick video from today showing what the clinic was about today and how you can create this at home.
Hope you like it and thank you to everyone who came today yet another fantastic clinic π΄π΄π΄
Found myself a new pony ππ΄
Here is a little clip of AJ from my pole work clinic in Southend.
I am so pleased with this little mare and her mummy, this is only her second lesson with me and after the first one of AJ showing me her best acrobats on two legs and how she can hold a pole between her front legsπ€£ the improvement was massive!
She has a lot of anxiety with Poles due to some pain issues however her owner has fought through all this and now wants her horse to have fun and get back to eventing.
It was a great day thank you for having me cannot wait for the next one π¬π¬π΄π΄
A little video took at my clinic on Saturday.
Everyone loved my little 'surprise' in the middle ππ if I could have taken a picture of everyone's face when I told them this it would have made my week!
You all did great thou! And look at Mr beau here ππ
π΄π΄π΄π΄
Little video from Saturday. I added a 'surprise' element into the sequence this time π to most people's hate.
I didn't speak the entire length of the video as I hate hearing myself when I play them back ππ
Look how lovely Mr beau moves through this section πππ΄π΄π΄
I have to share this video. ππ
Has to be one of the cutest ponies I have seen!!
The pony is very young and this was the first proper pole work the pony has done. You can really see in the video the pony trying to think about striding and where the legs need to go as well as keeping the balance.
Cannot wait to see more of this pony π΄π΄π΄
I do love these slow mo videos of ponies working hard at my clinics ππ΄
Who wants another date?
What a lovely morning watching the hunt come through Maldon high street and seeing so many clients and friends π΄π΄
Whilst I was waiting for my clients to tack up early I had some fun pole pole work with Lilly ππ not just for horses
Love this slow Mo feature!
This horse is an absolute star! He has only done about 4 sessions of pole work and this was his first time in this indoor school with other horses. Of course he was a little scared to begin with but with a few tricks he was flying!
My clinics are for all levels horse and rider ππ΄
Here is a little slow motion video I took at Burghley this year, it's so Interesting to see how much force it put on the horses body to jump these huge fences and go straight back into gallop, you can see after the fence how much the extends the Limbs to cover the ground in the gallop. Amazing ππ
This is what happens when your dog gets board at my pole work clinics ππ poor princess Lilly πΆπΆ
