Archie’s first set of ridden poles.
Yes he’s unbalanced, I’m not fit (please be kind) however it’s a starting point and we can only improve. You can see how much I’m letting him find his own posture through them and I’m just encoring him to stay straight and driving the impulsion from behind.
In light of keeping it real, watch till the end where you see spots fly at speed 😆 he can be very Hot headed and this is an example of that. I survived and we carried on to finish the session on a good note. I know a lot of clients will take pleasure in seeing this part 😂
We’re trying to do this at least 1 a week 🤞🏼 let’s see where he is in 6 months.

Archie’s first time over poles and raised poles. He hasn’t done these before mainly because he lived In a field for the last 3 years and the last 4 months I’ve spent getting him use to his first livery yard, backing him before we lost our turnout and all life throws at us.
He was such a good boy (incredible hard to lunge and film!) took everything in his stride worked it out straight away. This is something we are aiming to do once a week with as little or more poles as possible!
Hoping to get back on this week and incorporate these ridden too 😬😬

A little peak at something I was working on last weekend!!
You can see so clearly as belle comes into the poles she drops her head, opens through her back and lifts through her core. This mare has come such a long way since I first met her with the help of an amazing little team around her.
So grateful to her owner for helping me with my little project
