What Does dog hair hair have to do with the sea? Here at The Dog House we are constantly striving to be more environmentally friendly and see less waste going to landfill. So, we have registered with A Matter of Trust and The Clean Wave Project. The Clean Wave Project are an organisation founded in America who use donations of fur, hair, wool etc to manufacture felted mats that soak up petrochemicals and oil spills. Now all clean hair will be sent to help clean up the environment.

Sweet little Barney. Barney came to me with issues regarding being groomed. We have been working with him since March and thanks to all the training his wonderful owner has done at home he is starting to relax. Barney has been taught a chin target as shown here which allows me to trim his head. He also knows commands to pick up each leg in turn, also helping him understand which leg we will be picking up. We still have lots of work to do with him accepting clippers on his front legs, I’ve no doubt he will get there. It takes time and we do what he will happily accept each time.
