As ever, our volunteers were magnificent yesterday for our 9th birthday (despite some very wet feet) so they got a final big THANK YOU shout out on Radio 2 at around 8am this morning.

548 people helped us celebrate our 9th birthday, welcoming 116 First Timers and 57 very splashy and muddy PBs, and all made possible by our lovely, party hatted, 53 volunteers (and Masey).🙏
Congratulations to Julia on her 25th parkrun and all our other milestones, to Charlotte, our first ever female First Finisher and it wasn’t just our birthday today, so it’s happy birthday to Sara, our lovely Marshal, too!

Jez has done an early inspection and, as expected after this week’s weather, the course is pretty sodden, so our birthday is definitely a ‘Splash Party’.
Come prepared but the good news is we’ve secured the (long retired!) Baywatch Team to marshal the puddles.😂

Hip hip hooray, it’s our 9th birthday today!
In those 9 years we’ve had over 36,000 Finishers supported by almost 2,000 volunteers.
That’s well worth celebrating so that’s exactly what we’ll be doing this Saturday 🎉🎉

What a surprisingly glorious day to parkrun, though Èowyn definitely left his mark and gave 605 of us very wet feet, welcoming 142 First Timers and 48 muddy PBs.
As ever, this was only made possible by our amazing 52 volunteers (plus Maisie,Torin, Wilbur and Bertie) so huge thanks to them all.
Congratulations to all today’s milestones and to Clo for hitting her 100 different parkruns!
