In memory of Poppy( cheeky monkey) 🐾❀️
We are sad to say goodbye to sweet Poppy. Poppy joined the Arden House team along with her owner, vet Jose, in February this year. She became a permanent fixture in the office, as close to the treat box as possible! Her big brown puppy dog eyes and woofs could not be ignored! She was a special girl and it was lovely to see the bond that she and Jose shared. She will remain forever in our hearts. 🀎🐾⭐️

Star Pet 🌟
9 year old Buster came to see us after becoming weak on his hind legs. X-rays taken showed some bony spurs on an area of his spine. This can affect movement and comfort. Despite treatment to help this, Buster's symptoms worsened. He was now
having difficulty using all of his legs.Buster was referred to a specialist for further assessment. After various tests, Buster was diagnosed with a rare condition called Feline polyneuropathy that affects the nerves. In Buster's case there was no specific cause (known as idiopathic). This condition can start to improve spontaneously in 1-3 months. Buster was managing to eat and toilet ok with the support from his owners. They also carried out massage to help strengthen his leg muscles & enrolled him onto a hydrotherapy course. Buster started to regain his movement and we are thrilled to say he is continuing to do well. Well done
wonderful boy! πŸ’™πŸΎ

Two year old Mushu is one very lucky black cat after needing a life saving operation.
His owner had noticed that he was lethargic with a reduced appetite and he'd been sick. Vet Kathryn examined Mushu and could see a piece of cotton in his mouth. One end of the cotton was wrapped around the base of Mushu's tongue, then it went down his throat into his stomach and through to his intestines.
Kathryn had to make an incision into Mushu's stomach and several along his small intestine in order to carefully remove the cotton, bit by bit. Mushu's life saving operation took 3.5hours and we are so pleased to say that after 2 weeks recovering at home he is back to his cheeky self! πŸ–€πŸΎ
