Another dog cruelly abandoned, the season of goodwill means nothing to those who don’t care about pups. She is now safe and loved, because Melisa never walks away.
A pup all alone in the world, broken, scared and hungry, with no one to keep her safe, her traumatic life on the streets so truly awful. Now safe and warm in quarantine, every day, a tiny layer of fear peels away, each gentle stroke of Melisa’s hand, each gentle word spoken. This is rescue, spending time with each dog, giving them safety, warmth, good conditions, good food and freedom. We are over the moon that she is now safe, and a huge thank you to all of our supporters to, which means that we can keep helping to save dogs lives… every day and every week.
We had a fantastic time at our first Dog Friendly Carol Service today at St Michael’s Church, Northchapel.
Around twenty dogs came, and we raised £316.42, which was split between Paws2Rescue and St Michael’s.
Our poor little man is in the vet for a few days on perfusions, to build himself back up. Sadly he has heartworm, and will need to start treatment as soon as he is strong enough. Thank goodness we took him off the streets, where he would not have survived the winter. A huge thank you to everyone who donated too, we can cover his vet bills thanks to you all. Have a peaceful evening.
With 3,000 dogs, APF in Cairo cook once a day in their kitchen in huge vats. Thanks to all of you who so kindly donated, we have sent a donation of USD 1,215 which will provide a meal for a week for the dogs.
Your kindness truly means so much, it is a huge help to the team in Egypt, a massive help, thank you.
Little Sophia is doing well after her diaphragm operation, almost fully recovered and loving the comforts of her foster home.Have a wonderful Saturday night all.
Please help! 🆘 A heartfelt appeal this week for your help and a reminder that every pence donated will be a huge help.
Our friend Hanan and her team in Egypt are struggling. A horrific life for dogs, and with over 3,000 in her shelter, feeding them every day is a huge struggle, whilst her phone rings all day with never ending calls for help. Just like Alice.
Alice was found in a truly awful condition, and despite being full, Hanan found her a space. A place of safety and love, where she can recover. Just like thousands of others have too.
We have worked with Hanan for a number of years, and our beautiful Egyptian dogs were all rescued by her and lived in her shelter. We would love to send a donation to help a little this Christmas season.
Anything you can give really means the world, to us, to Hanan and to the 3,000 dogs, to Alice.

Safe and warm, in foster and quarantine, and will never be hungry again. Thank you Melisa for saving her life from the public shelter.
A stray outside the school, we wanted to help when we saw this video. Sadly the dog catchers got there first and took her and a few others back to the kill shelter to await a certain fate.Without Melisa, she would have died there for sure - nobody would have adopted a dog from 900 with this skin condition, and the clock started to tick.Thankfully, she is now safe in foster care, scared of course, after her horrific ordeal, but now she will get the treatment and food ahead needs to heal her physically, and the love and kindness to heal emotionally. A beautiful girl, all she needs is a name, can you help us?
Sadly he was too scared for Valentina to catch him, even patience with a trap cage for now hasn’t worked. For now, all she was able to do is give Simparica and feed him. With awful wounds and bad skin, she will try to gain his trust to help him. When you donate to feed the strays, it’s dogs like this scared boy who get to eat a meal that day, that get some basic medical treatment.Thank you for being their lifeline.
Rescued in August 2021 from the kill shelter, where she gave birth and her where her pups died. This week for the FIRST TIME in 3 years!!! Becca came out of her kennel and joined all the other dogs in the sanctuary for a short time, before running back to her safe place.
The most beautiful miracle, and the start of her happy ever after, living without any pressures at all, living with freedom to run or not, all day.
Becca is just one of many trauma dogs for whom the Sanctuary is probably their forever home. Thank you to those who sponsor our dogs who are forever in our care.
Saved from outside the restaurant with her friend, Millie had a worrying cut across her throat that needed treatment. The girls have flourished in Melisa’s care and they have been enjoying playing with new friends at the sanctuary. Millie is healed physically and the girls really are treasured. Two more girls safe from the streets and won’t have to survive the winter scrounging for food any more. A huge thank you for your support which helps us to keep saving lives.
