After 7 months at Dogs Trust Leeds she has now met a potential new owner and has spent some time getting to know him. He has taken the time to come and visit her a few times and been patient while she gets comfortable 💛
The visits have been going really well and things are looking positive for these two new best friends! Stay tuned to see what happens next on Sasha’s journey. Will we find her a home before the end of the Olympics? 👀

⚠️ There is no safe amount of time to leave dogs alone in a car during the hot weather – not even for a short amount of time, and not even if you leave the window open. Just a few minutes could be fatal.
The temperature inside a car can rise to dangerously high levels in just a few minutes, leading any dogs inside the car suffering with heatstroke, which can cause death.
🚨 If you see a dog in a car in distress, call 999.

Our Freedom service, which is now in its 20th year, supports dog owners fleeing from domestic abuse, by placing their pet in temporary foster care until they are safe and can be reunited. With many refuges unable to accept pets, our life-saving service enables owners to access safe accommodation, giving dog owners peace of mind that their dog is in a loving foster home. We don’t want a pet to be a barrier for someone taking that step to safety 💔
Sadly, demand for this service is increasing. But we can’t deliver the life-saving service that we do without having amazing foster carers on standby and ready to take those dogs. Fostering with us is a hugely rewarding experience that comes with so many benefits.

Is it warm where you are? 🥵 Help keep your dog cool with our frozen banana and peanut pup pop recipe 👇
Ingredients:
• 3 tablespoons of peanut butter (make sure it’s xylitol free)
• 2 well-ripened bananas
• 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
Method:
• Combine the ingredients and mash the mixture until smooth.
• Pour into your mould tray and pop in the freezer. We left ours in overnight, but the mixture should be firm after 3-4 hours.
• Serve!
