Our resident cat called Chio is ready for a home.

Chio is a friendly cat who loves to be around people and can often be found flopping on the floor for attention. Chio can be a bit scared so we do think a calm home would be ideal for him. Chio is a funny guy, it sometimes takes him a few moments to remember people when we come to say hello and will often greet us with a hiss but as soon as he realises he knows us, he is chatting away and asking for strokes. He loves cat nip and is often found playing by himself with his toys.
The cattery is still new to Chio and we think he will settle and grow in confidence in a home environment. He already has a cute nature and can make people laugh out loud when he rolls off a lap like a slippery fish.
If you'd like to apply for Chio's adoption, please do send in a completed application form (download from the website) along with photos of your home to our email - [email protected]
If we feel you are the best match, we will invite you to meet Chio at our centre.

Could you be Liam's forever home?

Liam is a very confident and curious cat 13 year old tabby, who's playfulness and energy does not reflect his age!
He enjoys being around people, and will greet you loudly on return home! He prefers to be with people but can also enjoy his personal space, so he can sometimes prefer to be left alone to watch the world go by. He'd make a lovely cat for a household with some outside space and lots going on.
More information about Liam can be found on our website here -

Please do get in touch if you are interested in rehoming Liam. We can be contacted on 0300 123 0594 and on email at [email protected]

Mini is up for adoption and he would like to introduce himself to our followers...

Hello, I am Mini!
I am a healthy happy 11-year-old boy who enjoys life at it's best.
I am very chilled, spending most of my day sleeping on my dog bed or snoozing on the sofa.
At the beginning I like you to think I am a tough cookie, but give me a couple of weeks and you'll see my soft side.
I have 3 legs but I can certainly beat you if we climb up the stairs.
I am not a big eater, rather a snacker, and will definitely let you know when I am hungry. I prefer meaty meals rather than fishy ones.
I like sunbathing and wouldn't mind some fresh air from time to time so I'd love to stay somewhere with an outdoor space.
At the moment I am quite happy with my fosters but I am also hoping to move my permanent home as soon as possible. I would love a place where I can be myself and have some alone time. I do have a soft side but I am not overly affectionate.

For more information on Mini, please find his profile here - https://www.rspca.org.uk/local/friern-barnet-adoption-centre/findapet/details/MINI/254748/rehome

If you are passionate about cats, and have a calm, understanding and patient nature, this could be the ideal role for you. Due to our base being in North London, Friern Barnet, we ask new applicants to live within a reasonable travel distance from us and the RSPCA Hospital in Finsbury Park of up to 20/30 minutes and we will accept applications in some parts of East London and in the Potters Bar area.

This is the absolute love bug, Tiko, looking for his forever home :)

If you are looking for a cat that gives cuddles all the time...Tiko is the cat for you! Tiko is currently in foster and loves to be on them at any given chance, he is often sleeping and chilling. Tiko does get moments where he will play with his cat toys by himself and have zoomies around the house, but he will often retreat for more cuddles once he is done. Due to Tiko's need for affection, we would suggest a family who is able to give him that love on tap and have no other cats/animals in the home. We think he will be great with children but equally, he will need just as much attention as the children as he highly values his cuddle time.

Tiko was a local stray who had some scratches and scabs on his ears and had a lump on his back, he was also under the weather with cat flu. He came to us with these issues and seeking treatment. As Tiko is mainly white with white ears, he had a highly chance of getting squamous cell carcinoma which is a form of skin cancer. We had to remove his ear flaps due to the crusts and also removed a lump from his back. We are lucky enough to say these were benign and nothing to worry about. Given he had some cat flu and has been diagnosed with a grade 2 heart murmur, Tiko is fit for rehoming and we are looking for the right family to give him the love he deserves.

If you'd like to apply for Tiko's adoption, please do get in touch via email at [email protected] or call us on 0300 123 0594

Could you be our next Animal hero by becoming a cat fosterer with our centre?

We are looking for dedicated cat fosterers to join our team of volunteers to help us help more cats in need this year. We expect this year to be one of our most demanding year yet and are looking to recruit cat fosterers to help us with taking on cats in need.
If you live within a reasonable distance from us and our RSPCA hospital, able to care for a cat for a minimum of three months and have the time to help a cat in need? Please do get in touch!

❤️ T A I is ready for adoption ❤️

Tai is amongst the most relaxed cats you will ever meet. He has recently taken up temporary residence at our Friern Barnet Adoption Centre and has been nothing but amazing. Tai has a genuine desire to interact with everyone and has nothing but love to give and biscuits to make.
Prior to being at Friern Barnet he was admitted to our animal hospital for an injury to his back leg, while recieving treatment he became an instant favourite amongst the staff due to his amazing temperament and chilled persona. While at Friern Barnet, Tai has also shown that all he wants is to be loved and fussed with, as if given the chance, he will be right next to you brushing past your leg and he doesn't mind his tummy being rubbed.

Tai will make a great addition to any family and so if you are interested in adopting Tai please do fill out an application form downloadable via the website and send this complete to [email protected] along with a few photos of your home to allow our rehoming team to carry out the required checks.
