Bilbo is a sweet cat we have seen for an injured paw.
He loved the vet’s visit 🥰

He made us laugh, sneaking inside all bags and boxes around the house, rolling on the floor and sniffing our bags (ah, curiosity....)

We weren't surprised, though, that when it comes to the carrier, he panics and escapes transforming into a feisty little tiger. Cats love hiding in little spaces, but they are clever, and they know that the carrier means to travel and often travel means veterinary Clinics...barking dogs and scared cats around...not a friendly space for them.

This is why at Ctvets, we love our job: we can give the best care to our little friends in the comfort of their loved homes (no carriers, no travel, no stress) 🥰

Ready for a beautiful new day helping pets around London 💝🐶🐱

Here at CTvets we are so grateful for our amazing receptionists, 🥰 they work so hard to care for both our clients and their pets as well as our staff! 😻
Without them, we wouldn't be able to help all of the animals around London who can't make it to the practice; whether they're scared of the journey, they are too unwell, or they simply trust our senior, experienced vets.
We thank our receptionist wholeheartedly for their dedication and hard work.

We love giving all the fur babies plenty of cuddles and love, but today we met a special pup who went above and beyond 🐶 This sweet little guy brought us his favorite toy as a thank you for making him feel better! 🤗 Small things like this make us vets so happy to do our job.

Nothin’ better than spending my days with my vet fam at the Ctvets office! 🐶 When Remi is off fixin’ up other pooches around London, I get to stay behind and enjoy all the cuddles, love and treats with Jade, Jasmine and Rocco. I mean somebody’s got to test out all these new toys, right? 🤪 #

Introducing Remi and his new furry friend Walter ❤️ Today was an especially exciting day for our team, as we had the privilege of vaccinating this little cutie. From now on, these two companions can enjoy the world together without having to worry about preventable health risks. We wish them both all the love, happiness and adventure that life has to offer!

Nail trimming is a very essential to your furry friends comfort, hygiene and well-being. While some people do not like to do this themselves others do, here are a few tips from us to prevent nail trimming causing stress or anxiety for your furry friends:

Handle your pup's paws from early on and trim their nails so they can get used to it.
If your dog is a little harder to handle when it comes to nail trimming, why not try a wall lick matt with one of their treat such as peanut butter? This should allow you to have time to trim the nails while they happily lick away.
Day 1: Let you puppy get used to the nail clippers around them encourage them to take a sniff and praise good behaviour.
Day 2: handle your puppies paws while holding the nail clippers. Lightly touch each nail with the clippers but do not cut, reward for good behaviour.
Day 3: If you are using an electric clipper/grinder then let your pup get used to the sounds and vibrations they may feel/hear. Reward for good behaviour.
Day 4: Your pup should be getting more comfortable around the nail clippers, if not repeat the process before moving on. Try trimming of a small amount and see how your puppy reacts but be sure to give loads of praise and a treat.
Day 5: keep trimming off small amounts of their nails at a time. Do not cut to far down straight away as pups have nerve endings in their paws.
Step 1: Pick up your dog's paw and gently place your thumb on the pad of their toe and your forefinger on the top of the toe on the skin above the nail. Ensure your pups fur isn't in the way.
Step 2: Push your thumb slightly up & back on the pad, whilst also pushing your forefinger forward. Doing this should reveal their nail.
Step 3: Be sure to only trim the tip of the nail straight across and try not to trim past the curve of your furry friends nails. If you do it could risk hitting the nerve which could lead to bleeding which will be painful for your pup. This is known as the pink area. However in darker dogs look out for a white spot in the centre.

If you have never trimmed a pups nails before we advise to ask your local groomers/vets to assist you the first time before trying on your own.
