LEG AIDS. Correctly using your legs on a real horse can be challenging to master and assess. With on-screen feedback during exercises, you can gauge your leg position and its effectiveness in applying pressure accurately. By incorporating various exercises and training techniques, you can strengthen your legs, enhancing your ability to give precise cues. Improving your leg position and use will lead to a more responsive horse and smoother transitions between gaits, enabling you to get the most out of your riding.
Are you returning to riding after an injury? The EQUICISE can be used to improve riding fitness in a way no other gym equipment can! Your instructor, working within your physical capabilities, will ensure you progress at your own pace, enabling you to redevelop specific muscle groups without putting unnecessary strain on other parts of the body that may be recovering from trauma. You will be able to work using weights, bands and other equipment building up your strength in a safe and controlled environment.

There’s no better way to see the wildlife in the African bush than on horseback making a riding safari a magical experience. To enjoy it to the full you need to be physically fit for the long hours in the saddle and feel safe for the long gallops between game views. The best way to train is on the Equicise simulator where you can master riding with a secure light seat with a deep connection through your heels. We love these Equest bands - they help to stop you slouching by gently easing your shoulders back whilst feeling the stretch right through to your heels. They encourage you to engage your core, which will help you develop a stronger and safer riding position and your holiday will be much more fun!

‘Good Hands’ are a must for all horse riders. See how this rider improves after a lesson with Caroline Stevenson BHSI. Initially the readings on the screen show an inconsistent and strong rein contact. Caroline gives the rider an Equicube to hold and teaches her how to develop the correct feel on the reins. See how her hands improve and this is reflected by the read outs on the screen. Book your Equisise lesson now! #horseriding #horsesimulator #equestriantraining #horseridinglesson

Do you struggle to stay in balance in light seat and influence your horse at the same time when unexpected movements happen?
The ability to use your hands independently from your lower body while staying in balance in light seat is incredibly important not only for show jumping and eventing, but also for hacking safely.
This seems like an exercise for the arms, but it is actually for core strength: you will only be able to stay in balance if your abs and glutes are engaged and active while you pull the elastic band (otherwise, you will pull yourself forward each time).
This is also a great practice to remain unfazed if you tend to lose balance whenever your horse lowers the neck or pulls you forward.
Try it on your next lesson - book now at www.equicise.co.uk

The first light seat in canter: a five minute progression.
Iggy is a brilliant ten year (he was nine on this video) BMX rider who has been competing since he was four - and as an athlete, even if it is in a different sport, his proprioception is impressive to begin with. But it still amazes us to see how quickly you can learn new tricks at Equicise! 🚴🏇
In five minutes he not only learned to stay in light seat - he also learned not to use his hands for balance while keeping rein contact, keeping soft elbows, how to use his knees to absorb the movement and how to keep his weight down his heels to stay in balance.
He is not only doing light seat, he is doing it safely, correctly, and in balance. 💪

Speed up your learning process with an Equicise lesson for beginners! 🏇🏇🏇
This was Emily's first ever lesson - and of course also her first rising trot. Without ever bouncing on a horse's back, she learned the rising trot without grabbing on the horse's mouth and in complete balance at all times. Look at her rising with her hands up! 🥇💪
You too can learn the basics quickly and safely, before riding a real horse 🏇🏇🏇

Did you know that in a lot of cases when riders believe they need stronger legs, they are actually strong enough but are lacking rhythm, coordination, and/or mobility?
Working on your rhythm and hip mobility helps your legs to influence the horse in a more effective way.
