Interested in horses and learning to ride a horse?
The one hour group Get Ready to Ride session runs every Fri (2pm) and Sat (4pm).
There you will learn why this sport provides such strong physical and mental health benefits for all - as well as its welfare and entrance requirements. You will meet some of our 40 horses and coach team - and be instructed in first steps riding theory in the stables and lecture room.
Set in our West London Stable site, it is mandatory for adult entry (all 4 levels) and is highly recommended for parents thinking of signing up their child/ren on a riding course (5 levels). Book here:-

Despite the weather everyone had a brilliant time that attended our annual Christmas dressage to music event. Riders efforts didn’t go unnoticed and the ponies were fabulous 🎅🏻🎄🎁

It was the week before Christmas, and all over the Stables....... school holiday camps & activities were starting.

Wedn 18th December. Christmas Dressage Show 4-8 pm with 6 pm Singalong & Snacks
Still competitive riding spaces, adults and children, available at all levels. Do come along to cheer and find out more about horse-riding.

Thursday 19th December Peek-at-Santa for Early Years 1pm-2.30. Groom
& lead our ponies, with Santa on his sleigh, and story-telling in Warm Barn.

Friday 20th December 10am - 12.30. Christmas Wood Whack junior carpentry n Warm Barn for ages 6-13yrs Learn to wood whittle and use an electronic etching pen for personalised home-made gifts.

And throughout, 10am to 4 pm Pony Days (Tu & Thurs) and Pony Gallivanter Days (Wed & Fri) and Born to be Wild (Fri) run from 17th Dec to 9th January 2025.

Stay active this Christmas, learn new skills, make new friends - and let animals make you happy! Winter mental and physical fitness.
Christmas Holiday One Day Camps, 10 am- 4 pm, start Friday 13th December, and run through till Thursday 9th January.
For ages 4.5/ 5 -14, drop off from 9.30 am with car park/ cycle stable on site, and Ealing Common tube 5 mins walk.

Massive congratulations to our Head of volunteers Domi for passing her BHS stage 2 exam and to our four students; Milla, Annabelle, Maia and Leila for passing their BHS stage 1. All attended our 8 & 12 week courses working through the BHS syllabus and helping students to prepare for their practical exams. Very well deserved 👏🏻

The Gallivanter Meadow lies between Chiswick and Ealing and is now open for Half Term and Hallowe'en holiday Camps from 4 1/2 to 14 years. Ponies, dogs, rabbits, chickens and goats in a nature craft walled site.
One Day Camps - Born to be Wild run on Tues 22+ 29 Oct, Wed 23 + 30 Oct and Thursdays 24 and 31 Oct.

It’s that time of year again 🦷 All horses and ponies have annual dentistry checks including filing of the teeth. On the most part they are very well behaved 😄

Stables are very spooky places....mysterious whinnying from every corner, ponies startling at shapes we do not see. Horses sense the unseen and the pagan forces around us.
You are warmly invited to visit for Hallowe'en.

Thursday 31st October we have an Early Years Spooky Pony event 1-2.30 pm
free for 2-6 year olds. Opt for some extra scary storytelling in the cobwebby Warm Barn.

For Autumn Half Term - Six different types of 5 Star ERS Summer Camps start in our walled garden site on 22nd October through to 5th November. All are 10am - 4 pm for ages 4 3/4- 14.
Which camp would your son/ daughter like to do?
Some are for the pony or animal passionate, some for the active outdoorsy in our Scandinavian - style Meadow Camp with barns and treehouses, wood mountain surfing and animal yards. All build skill and confidence.

1 Day Pony Days - for those who want to learn to ride and already have the pony bug. All day riding and in stables. 5+ Every Tuesday + Thursday

Not the usual scene at the Riding School on a Monday morning as 350 tonnes of high performance sand/ fibre mix arrives afrom 7 am, with lorries in and out all day resurfacing Arenas 2 + 3.

Very good news however for students, horses and coaches. The new mix is better for horses' agility and hoof health, and creates a cleaner and healthier environment for our students, coaches - and our lovely Ealing neighbours.

Expect a little disruption up for the next 2/3 days, but we will do everything to keep it to a minimum.

We are running 2 x special ONE DAY bookable Meadow Camps 10am-4 pm on Tues 3rd Sept and Wedn 4th Sept, for a last summer blast of practical skills and wildness before the classroom!
Gallivanter Meadow 3 Day Camp then re-starts in the 2 week half term from 20th October.
For NEW TERM after School:-
Pony Club Badges, for outdoor skills, is bookable for the Term starting 11 Sept, every Wed and Fridays, 4.30-5.30pm
After School Riding Club, drop off 4.30-6 pm, restarts 10 Sept running Tu Wed Thurs every week.

Tired helpers behind the scenes at the ERS Sunday's Summer Show, after a Saturday night's camping (in heavy rain downpour) in the Gallivanter Meadow, to be ready at 6 am to braid and plait, feed and prepare the horses, and help the inexperienced with their practical knowledge.
Much media space is devoted to youngsters' anxiety and work ethic.
Working with horses transforms. Tangible work, in a team, with a visible outcome, combining both courage and caring.
A huge thanks to our band of Volunteers/ Helpers aged 10-75, without whom we could not run the School & Yard .
If you wish to join us there is a bookable Volunteer Induction every Friday 5-6 pm, with fast track training every Thursday, CareShare Scheme, and Rider Rewards. All welcome.
