Ealing Riding School West London. Beginners to advanced riders from 4 yrs and onwards. Quality horse We are a very friendly yard who work together.

We cater for children (5yrs+) and adults from complete beginners to advanced. All teaching is conducted in our outdoor schools by Qualified Instructors, using a variety of well schooled quality horses and ponies. We offer private lessons, semi private lessons, group lessons and jumping lessons. We have over 25 horses all varying from 11hh to 16'2hh. We have very safe horses and sympathetic Instruc

tors who are able to help with nervous type of rider and confidence building. We also offer limited disability rides. We also offer BHS Stage 1 and 2 training.

We are running 2 x special ONE DAY bookable Meadow Camps 10am-4 pm on Tues 3rd Sept and Wedn 4th Sept, for a last summer blast of practical skills and wildness before the classroom!
Gallivanter Meadow 3 Day Camp then re-starts in the 2 week half term from 20th October.
For NEW TERM after School:-
Pony Club Badges, for outdoor skills, is bookable for the Term starting 11 Sept, every Wed and Fridays, 4.30-5.30pm
After School Riding Club, drop off 4.30-6 pm, restarts 10 Sept running Tu Wed Thurs every week.

Tired helpers behind the scenes at the ERS Sunday's Summer Show, after a Saturday night's camping (in heavy rain downpour) in the Gallivanter Meadow, to be ready at 6 am to braid and plait, feed and prepare the horses, and help the inexperienced with their practical knowledge.
Much media space is devoted to youngsters' anxiety and work ethic.
Working with horses transforms. Tangible work, in a team, with a visible outcome, combining both courage and caring.
A huge thanks to our band of Volunteers/ Helpers aged 10-75, without whom we could not run the School & Yard .
If you wish to join us there is a bookable Volunteer Induction every Friday 5-6 pm, with fast track training every Thursday, CareShare Scheme, and Rider Rewards. All welcome.

Sunday's ERS Summer show was blessed by the weather! Well-dressed competitors and visitors were welcomed by a few of our great riding Coaching Team at the School gate, with a range of adult and child in-hand and showjumping competitions throughout the day. Our thanks go to Jane Williams, Chair of , the Association of British Riding Schools, In-hand Judge and O'Brien of Vision Australia for the Dog Show.
New Autumn Term Bookings are now open for all adult and child, novice to advanced, lessons, and, starting tomorrow Thursday the Advance Academy has a Lecture on Body Awareness at 7 pm, for novice +intermediate/ + on horse communication via body position. Do come along to get ready for the new term.

The Annual ERS Summer Show takes place this Sunday - morning in-hand showing from 9, horse & hound; showjumping from 12 noon. And inter-family Tug O'War and children's chariot racing in the Meadow throughout the day. Do enter!
All past and present riders and visitors very welcome. As are those thinking of returning to/ starting riding after the UK Olympic Equestrian success. The Information Desk will be staffed during the day for all drop in and visitor questions- on September new term riding levels, Pony Club (Wed Fri after school), volunteering, residential Cottage courses, early years, equine therapy, work placements, school visits and our new Academy for advanced riders.

Unlocking horses' natures and how our own human psychology has always walked in pace with the horse. And how this gentle highly sensory-intelligent animal brings huge confidence to some, healing to others, and a sense of peace and wellbeing to all.

Every year Ealing Riding School welcomes scores of vet students from universities across the U.K. for their large animal work placement. Here our specialist vet is explaining to students how to read an X-ray on the horse Merlin - a torn tendon sheath or something more serious? Luckily the former and Merlin is now on 'box rest" for a few weeks, and will be very well looked after.
The School has just once again been awarded 5 Star for Horse Welfare and Safety from Defra/ Council. We are proud of our careful adherence to the Equine Code and the team's work in ensuring horse welfare.

Six different types of 5 Star ERS Summer Camps start in our walled garden site on 28th June through to 5th September. All are 10am - 4 pm for ages 4- 14.

Next week on Friday May 31st the Gallivanters Meadow offers its first Fire & Forest Jewellery Workshop 10 am - 3pm.
We are inviting 11+ teenagers to come and make sand-cast items from moulds of their choice in to rings, pendants, other decorations - crafted in the wild from fire.
The day will be lead by an expert jeweller. Bring your own lunch. We will provide home made snacks.
Sand-casting is an ancient natural technique - and alchemy at its finest!

NEW! And strictly for 12+ years in the Friday (31st) of next week's half term 10 -3 pm!

In Gallivanters Meadow, the ancient craft of sand-casting will be used for a special jewellery making workshop. Led by an expert in this natural and alchemical craft.

Moulds will be turned in to metal, forged by fire. For making rings, pendants, key rings and brooches.

Advance Academy has started! Its purpose is to offer more advanced variety in and beyond the School to student riders for upper CB2/ AB1 and CB3/4 and AB2. Lectures, competitions, events, XC’s, Clinics.

Ready to Ride 1 hour session runs at our Equestrian Centre every Friday at 2 pm and Saturday at 4 pm. For the horse-curious and riding-considering.

A Senior Equestrian Coach is required for the development of Ealing Riding School. ERS has recently secured its site and is looking towards the future with the introduction of an Advance Academy (inc B.H.S. Courses), taking adult and young person students progressing strongly to the next stage and ensuring variety in their horse work (jumping, dressage, competition, expeditions, project work).
We need a Coach to lead this programme, alongside min 1 day riding coaching and a range of large & small group work/ events with horses & the outdoors. ERS has strong school & community links.
This will be a 2 or 3 full day position (inc 1 weekend day). Qualifications plus management experience essential and a passion for teaching & communication & belief in the positive role horses have in changing lives.
Could suit a BHS Coach returner or a Coach wishing to work in West London. Accommodation is available on site in the Stable Cottage for working days. Needs to be horse box driving happy.

Maintenance person/ team required urgently for wonderful site between Ealing and Chiswick. 3 days weekly for one person or 2 x person team for 2 days. Hours 8.30 - 4 pm, May to September, with reduced hours post summer.
The site comes in 2 halves, one (riding arenas and buildings) requiring tractor work and geneneral handy(wo)man-ing. Plumbing, electrical and carpentry knowledge an advantage but not essential; the second (green Meadow) requires gardening, weeding, grass-cutting and general upkeep. Ability to work in a team in service to clients/ students/ riders and to sift priorities important. English as first language not necessary - multi-national site.
Young, dynamic working environment surrounded by horses and other animals.

Two weeks in the life of a Riding School - horsemanship and tumbles at Clear Round Jumping competition, Hallowe'en Volunteer cavorting in Warm Barn, 2 x Senior Groom head to the South Coast for some beach riding (listen to the wind), Hermes Corporate visit to learn about equestrianism styling in luxury goods, the Ealing 9th Scouts, Cubs and Beavers come for flashlight fireside adventures- and oh yes the lovely everyday of lessons and lunge training our lovely horses. Tough work.

Coronation WeekEnd at the Riding School & Gallivanter Meadow Spend time with horses Saturday & Sunday (6/7th May). GROUP RIDING AS NORMAL Monday (8th May) 12 noon - 1 pm. THE RIDING OUT TO THE COMMON Come and meet our beautiful horses on a slow tour around Ealing Common. The Riding Out is an ancient medieval tradition, with the normal people reminding the King & Knights that the Common belongs to them. Call out for our experienced helpers please! 10am - 2 pm. THE BIG HELP OUT Open to everyone, young and old, to come and get a flavour of working & helping at the Stable Yard. This is tiny Dotty (Head of the Herd) and (sometimes) grumpy tizer (Riding Master) having a hug. Gallivanter Meadows is open to all. 2-3 pm A ROYAL PEEK-AT-PONIES For 2-8 year olds to groom & lead the ponies in the arenas and Little Yard - with your Crown on of course.

Could you do this at 12? In hand one horse and one pony being taken to graze and one very large wheelbarrow with haynets. Joining the stable team after a school day. Thank you to all our helpers!

Things feel a bit flat after Monday & return to work, school, uni. To cheer us up..... Be More Peaches. Peaches is our young Shetland pony whose slurping table manners could do with a bit of a polish.
