We're talking all things colostrum hygiene, starting with how to collect colostrum correctly!
DO NOT COLLECT COLOSTRUM FROM A JOHNES POSITIVE COW!

1) Collect Colostrum straight after calving
2) Test Colostrum for antibody levels using a refractometer
3) Ensure to clean and disinfect udder area, your hands and all the equipment required before use. Wear gloves
4)Transfer the collected colostrum into the bottle or bucket as applicable ensuring the lids are on tight to prevent contamination.
