RVN 2 U

RVN 2 U An experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse providing a variety of mobile pet care services to Lossiemouth and local surrounding areas in Moray, Scotland.

Please get in touch and I will see how I can help you and your pet. Hello, I'm Joanne, a Registered Veterinary Nurse. I have worked in mixed first opinion practice and also in a veterinary hospital environment. I have an advanced veterinary nursing diploma plus a degree in animal health and welfare. I really love my job and especially love preventative healthcare and consulting. In practice I came

across so many animals that became terribly stressed when visiting the vets for things like nail trims, a**l gland expression etc this would in turn make their owner stressed. I wanted to find a way to prevent this and then RVN 2 U was born. I thought if I could visit pets in their own environment where they feel most at ease then it would make the experience of, for example, a nail trim much less stressful for the pet and the owner. I offer various pet care services for all of our furry friends and can arrange an appointment to suit you.

Snake bites are rare but could be life-threatening and should be treated by your vet immediately ⏱️

There are three types of snakes in the UK: grass snakes, smooth snakes and adders. 🐍 The adder is the only venomous species but tends to keep to themselves and don't bite unless they are scared.

Adder bites can happen Feb-Oct but are more common between Jun-Aug. They are most commonly found in long grass, woodland, moorland, and along the coast (sand dunes/coastal paths). Avoid areas well known for adders in the summer months, or when in those areas, keep your dog on the path and on a lead. If you're unfamiliar with the area, do some research to find out if there are any adder hot spots before walking your dog ⚠️
