On behalf of me and mum I’d like to say a massive Thankyou for your support and kind donations on Saturday we took on the Cancer research 26.2 mile Peak District hike and completed it in 10 hours 57 minutes πŸ’ͺ🏼 We had a brilliant day and have raised a staggering amount for a worthwhile charity. I’m back to work today and mum is back on Wednesday, we may be a little slow this week while we recover from the aches and pains but we are all good to walk your pooches πŸ˜‚

Work finished and the weekend has arrived. I will be heading to Bakewell shortly, Amy will be joining me tomorrow for our gruelling 26.2 mile hike. Training has gone well walking all your doggies and new boots are bedded in!
We are a little short of our target so if you would like to contribute however small it will help us reach our target for Cancer Research.
Thank you to all who have sponsored us so far it means so much ❀️❀️

In October last year Alison’s brother, Amy’s uncle was devastatingly diagnosed with aggressive, terminal prostate cancer for which there is presently no cure. Ian is currently on medication and undergoing chemotherapy to increase his life expectancy. A breakthrough for a cure is his only hope wh...

Yesterday we all had a day off and went to explore Warwick castle 🏰 Despite a few April showers we stayed dry and had a fantastic day watching the birds of prey, meeting the lords trusty steed, walking around the peacock garden, meeting zog and exploring the castle itself. Where ever we go we always find animals even in the carpark the ducks joined us for lunch. Me and mum got some miles in together ready for our hike in 7 weeks, please read our story via the link.

We hope you’ve all had a fabulous bank holiday, a jolly good Easter and the Easter bunny was kind to you all 🐣🐰🍫

I can’t believe we are in April already…. The British weather is up speed and has already graced us with plenty of April showers already so can we remind you to please leave us a towel to dry off your fur babies after there walks.

We will take them for a walk come rain or shine, we’re not afraid of the weather πŸ˜‚ And it’s all training ready for mine and mums 26 miles hike in June, we are going equipped for any weather to cross that finish line 🏁

If anyone has a spare couple of pound and would like to sponsor us here is a link to our page πŸŽ€

Our future employee came to work with me after school this week she was ment to be helping me poo pick until she realised the barn next door was in the full lambing swing. After peeping through the gate the busy farmer invited her in for a tour… When I was leaving this is where I found her in the lamb pen 😍 I was a little jealous so had to join for lamb cuddles.

The better weather is just over the horizon Happy spring everyone πŸ£β˜€οΈπŸŒ±πŸŒΈ

Hey guys it’s Amy here, just a little update now the busy Christmas and new year period is over we have a quieter period before the nice weather comes and the home boarders come in thick and fast, mums horsey clients have and are soon to be turned out for their summer holidays and she can’t sit down for more than 20 minutes πŸ˜‚ So that left us wondering what do people do in there spare time, after a good think we decided there is nothing else we are better at than walking πŸ˜‚

So me and mum have decided to push ourselves to our limits again physically, mentally and emotionally and take on the Peak Districts Big Hike for cancer research. This is a 26.2 mile hike in June, we did one back in September 2017 and after 9 gruelling hours in torrential rain shedding blood, sweat and many tears with blisters as big as golf balls we crossed the finish line.

This charity is very close to our hearts as it is many others to, so in aid of this fantastic charity we are going to try our best to raise as much money as we can, now I know times are hard and you as our wonderful clients are helping us by booking your fur babies in for walks already, they are the best training partners anyone could have πŸ˜€ But if anyone is in a position where they have a few spare pounds to sponsor us we would both appreciate it massively πŸ₯°

If you would prefer to do it by cash please let us know and we can drop of our paper sponsorship form or drop one of us or the page a message for our bank details.

Thankyou for your continued support Amy.

We have decided to take on the challenge of The Big Hike 2023 which is a 25 mile hike in the Peak District in aid of cancer research, this is close to our hearts and many others. We have seen the struggle of people suffering with the disease and the heartbreak it leaves behind so we are doing it for...

Merry Christmas all,
Thank you very much for the continued custom, it’s been a pleasure caring for all your furfriends this year.
We look forward to the next 12 months and all it has to bring. Alison Karl and Amy

24/12/2021

Alison Karl and Amy wish you all a very Merry Christmas πŸŽ„πŸŽ…

01/01/2021

Wishing you all a happy and healthy New year.
The past 9 months have been very difficult and affected everyone in different ways. As with many businesses we have had to adapt and diversify to survive. Karl has taken on more farm work, general maintenance and gardening. I have taken on more equine work along with opportunity to work with a novice horse gaining a wealth of knowledge in natural horsemanship. Leaving Amy to be chief dog walker along with a stint of delivery driving.
Under government guidelines for tier 4 we are allowed to leave home for work purposes for the care and welfare of animals so will continue as we have been doing. We can also remain open as a home boarding facility! So your dog can go on holiday but you cannot πŸ™„.
We cannot thank you all enough for your continued support and look forward to brighter days with less restrictions to enable us to get back to what we love doing and cuddles from your furbabies that we have missed. πŸ©πŸ•πŸˆπŸΎπŸ¦œπŸŽ

16/07/2020

After a very long 4 months break it’s been so nice to finally open the doors and have some of our home boarders back..... Not sure they understand the 2 meters distance πŸ˜‚

02/06/2020

June is a special month for us as it marks another year that we have been offering our services to looking after your pets.
The months up until March had been our busiest up to date so we welcomed Amy to join the team and what an asset she has been
Since March we have been riding the Covid 19 storm and hope brighter days will soon follow.
Last summer I passed my Level 4 Diploma in Canine Massage Therapy so have been working on some CPD during the lockdown. As soon as my association lifts the restrictions on practise I will be offering rehabilitation, remedial and sports massage for dogs. So please watch this space and here's to the next 12 months
Take care Alison x

13/05/2020

We have made the decision to offer dog walking, call ins and equine care from Monday 18th May for existing clients only, providing no one in their household has or suspected of having Coronavirus. We will be in touch over the next few days to make arrangements.

With regards to Home Boarding and Daycare we will remain closed until 25th June and presently cannot take any bookings for after this date unless you have previously used our services

13/05/2020

Good afternoon all.

The last couple of months have been a difficult time for many of us and I would like to thank you for all your support and messages

We have carried out very limited work for key workers and NHS staff during the lockdown so have managed to enjoy the weather β˜€οΈ

Following the government announcement on Sunday evening we will shortly resume our services for dog walking and yard work. We are currently awaiting clarification from the CFSG (Canine and Feline Sector Group) and Charrnwood Borough Council with regards to their protocol for handover/collection of animals which we are hoping will be released today. Once we have received this we will contact you for your requirements then carry out a risk assessment on each individual visit to adhere to the guidelines. Our main priority will be to keep you, ourselves and families safe along with the welfare of your furbaby.

Look forward to speaking to you all very soon

******* IMPORTANT NOTICE, PLEASE READ. ******

NEW UPDATE 12th April 2020 ** YOU MUST READ **

WE HAVEN'T FORGOT YOU. To all of you that have liked, shared, commented or requested visors please know that we haven't and wouldn't forget about you. This has been incredible, the response we have had from initially asking if any Doctors or Nurses wanted a visor.....it now stands at requests for over 40,000 visors....wow.

We could have just supplied a few thousand of you with our visors and said to the rest of you, "sorry, we can't help" but that just isn't us, we want to help as many of you as we possibly can, we owe you that...our heroes.

Therefore a week after initially posting, although some of you haven't heard from us we have been extremely busy. We have contacted suppliers, manufacturers and dealers all over the world to help supply us film, put national social media posts out for dealers to join us and help you all. We've had radio interviews, articles in newspapers and today we will appear on ITV central news.

We now go under the brand with a new website www.makethevisor.co.uk which links to this page hence the blue header above and which is a collaboration of amazing window film companies throughout the UK joining together to provide FREE OF CHARGE visors to our amazing NHS Doctors and Nurses.

These companies have been amazing, helping us to help you in their own time, with their own costs, this industry has pulled together to put the GREAT back into GREAT BRITAIN and we are eternally grateful.
With their help we can assist as many of you as possible to get you the needed visors you need to keep you safe until your correct PPE equipment filters into your hospitals or establishments.

So if you have left a message or request for visors for you or your local hospital remember, we haven't forgot you and we will be in touch as soon as we can.

It's took time but a week after our first post we've got the dealers, they've ordered the materials to make these visors which are now coming through and they are prepared to help as many of you as we possibly can.

PLEASE REMEMBER, this is a collaboration of many companies working to help you, this isn't any one company, we are a team. Therefore, if you need our help their is only one name to call, the team at .

Leave a comment, give us a like, share if you wish, nudge a local window film company into knowing what we're doing, we just want you to know that we are on your side. And if you are a window film company reading this, contact us, join us and the team and make a difference by helping not just OUR NHS but your NHS.

Lets get these visors out to those that need it the most.

Thank you.

NEW UPDATE 5th April 2020. ** YOU MUST READ **

Due to the massive demand for these visors we have put out a national and worldwide plea to every window film manufacturer, supplier and installation company both in the UK and throughout the world to step up, come out of hiding and start making these visors to help every single doctor, nurse, carer, Gp get protected.

Today I saw pictures of nurses wearing just "reading glasses" to deal with covid19 patients, THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!!

We need every single one of you to help, this is so important to us, we can't let our amazing professionals be at risk.

Please share this to post to everyone you know. We've made a new video appealing to every window film company to help, WE NEED YOU TO SHARE THAT TOO, leave a comment on that page. If you can do that we can not only help doctors and nurses locally but all over the world.
We are already getting window film companies messaging us and wanting to make these, let's get all of them doing it.

I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A FEW HUNDRED VISORS REQUESTED, WE NOW HAVE OVER 30,000 VISOR REQUESTS.

We can't do this alone, we can't make 30,000 visors but if you share, leave a comment asking your friends to share and contact their local window film or car tinting companies to get them to make them we can all work together to help these doctors and nurses and not put them at risk.
We're not doing this for us or our company, we don't care about that, we just desperately need to help keep these people as safe as we possibly can.

Thank you, Darren & Melissa Xx

------------------------------------------

We are currently making medical visors to donate to the doctors and nurses of the NHS out of our security films due to the shortage of PPE equipment throughout the UK.
Offering them for free to whoever needs them, please contact us if you know somebody who requires them. We are hoping to make 50 - 60 a day so please share, like and pass the message on.

By sharing, you are showing your support to the amazing work our doctors and nurses are doing...for all of us.

Thank you.

Smashgard.
