I should have been whizzing round Little Downham horse trials today but due to an unforeseen dismount injury I was unable to ride. Instead we made the most of the free day to get some fencing done. As usual Rocky was on hand to supervise!
It’s a family affair putting hay out! Rocky and Dad!
The first application of fertiliser is going on today. Perfect weather to help it dissolve into the ground.
Every year we have the soil analysed and then purchase the correct products to address any imbalances and deficiencies.
We will be repeating treatments throughout the spring and summer to ensure optimum nutrients and grass growth.
Rocky supervising the rolling!
Spring feels like it’s just around the corner and the paddocks are actually dry enough to start rolling. I am aware that anything can happen weather wise in March though! Always accompanied by my trusty companion Rocky!
Clap for our hero's, Police, NHS, Care Workers, supermarket Staff and lots lots more x
This lovely weather took us all a bit by surprise but we got all the horses turned out today. The ground maintenance just has to be done around them!
A little compilation of the new storage shed being built. Paul and Dad worked so hard. 😊
I wanted to congratulate my fantastic liveries who have succeeded in numerous disciplines this year.Amy and Joey continue to win hunter trials, Katie and Vera came 5th in their first ever dressage competition, Eve and Frankie have been 8th and 10th in their first year eventing and Remi and Sam have done two double clears also in their first year eventing and Remi's first few month on a huge horse! Well done all of you, keep up the excellent work!
Drum doesn't like the smell of Mare wee in the wheelbarrow! He did this for about 5 mins!
