We can raise funds from used stamps. There should be a few arriving with Christmas cards. Please cut them from the envelope & leave a good border of envelope so the stamp is not damaged. You can then post them to the Tia Pickering Charity Shop. Or drop them at the farm or at any of our fundraising stalls.

I used to volunteer here, even on Christmas Day one year, It’s so rewarding. Any help would be really appreciated

Hi Everyone,
Well it’s nearly here….Christmas, but it changes nothing at the sanctuary.
All the horses and ponies still need their medication and feeding, stables need mucking out, water butts need cleaning and topping up waters ( when not frozen ) and poo picking the yard and fields carries on…into the dark ! But they are all so worth it !
We are still welcoming volunteers to join us and are short of help during the week and evenings, if you can help if only for a couple of hours please give Carole a call Tel: 07745628684

Although rawhide chews come in lots of fun shapes and sizes, your dog can easily chew off and swallow large pieces, leading to a potential choking hazard or intestinal obstruction. What’s even worse is how rawhide is created: rawhides are a by-product of the leather industry and are washed and sterilized with a variety of (often harmful) chemicals, such as sodium sulfide, lime, chromium salts, bleach, and hydrogen peroxide. It is then molded and dyed to form what you see in pet stores today.
Please avoid them at all cost, no matter how pretty they market them!

Ibuprofen is a very widely available over-the-counter painkiller. Although well tolerated in people, dogs are very sensitive to ibuprofen and ingestion of even a relatively low dose can cause adverse effects on the gut and the kidneys. A large overdose can even cause very rapid onset features including convulsions. Unfortunately, ibuprofen ingestion in dogs is very common, reflecting its ready availability in the home.

Never give your pet ibuprofen and always keep this medicine out of their reach.
