I have been an animal lover all my life. I have owned ponies, dogs, cats and various small animals for almost thirty years. I offer a reliable, friendly and loving service which can be personalised to suit any requirements covering Hoton, Loughborough, Barrow Upon Soar, Rothley and surrounding villages. Well where do we start with Lily, she is going to need a VERY special someone to offer her a special home.

Lily is only around 1yr old, she was handed into a vets with a badly broken leg after being found in someone's garden. The vet contacted us in desperation, she was either going to be PTS or at best have her leg amputated if someone agreed to take her. Well we agreed to take her BUT could not agree to her losing her leg if it could be saved so we rushed her through to our fab orthopaedic vets at Towcester Vets who saved her leg :)

Lily has spent the past 8 weeks recovering on cage rest whilst her leg completely healed, her follow up xrays all look good and she is using her leg well, she has now been spayed and vaccinated too and is now ready for her new home BUT and here are the buts......Lily has been confirmed as having FIV (unusual to see in such a young female) she is otherwise fit and well and in good health but she isnt too keen on other cats so she will need to have an indoor home (ideally a home with a large catio or cat proofed garden would be lovely) or can live with other FIV positive cats (she will learn to tolerate another cat we are sure but we can't risk fighting with a non FIV). The other big issue is that Lily takes a long long time to trust, she is a typical feisty tortie and going through everything she has been through has taken its toll. Her foster mum has been brilliant with her and whilst Lily will still give a hiss when approached there is no lashing out and some Lik e Lik on the finger is just too tempting for her and she will happily interact in this way for the reward.

Lily is going to need a patient dedicated special person to help her settle and blossom into the loving cat we know she can be.

Lily is eating well and is clean with the litter tray too, she enjoys her wet and dry food.

There is no fixed adoption donation for Lily, she has cost us an absolute fortune to fix but what actually matters to us is that we find her the right person who will love her for who she is and give her the
love and stability she needs, she deserves that after all she has been through.

Being fostered in Swadlincote, Derbys but can be rehomed further afield subject to home check and suitability .

Could you please post this? Our cat has gone missing from Marsden Avenue, Queniborough, Leicester. She’s a long haired Calico, very unique and easily identifiable with one blue eye & one yellow. She’s microchipped & neutered. Can locals keep an eye open & please check sheds as she likes to hide in them 🙏🏻 Penny Foster
