I've been thinking on my green wood working journey lately. It was 18 years ago when i turned up at the sustainability centre for a week in the woods course to have ago at a few green wood crafts. I was still dangling off a rope those days working in the high rise construction industry. But i was wanting a change....was'nt sure what i wanted then. So 18 years on & i find myself in that particular & familiar place of making stock for shows & prepping up for a teaching course. Trying to keep the faith in ways of working the grain, knowing i am lucky even though sometimes i feel the isolation of working alone has a detremental effect of my daily happiness. I am lucky, just wish i had a fellow bodger sharing the workshop some days for company 🪚🪓
