Lyme disease is one of the most common tick-transmitted diseases in the world, and it can affect pets and humans. Dogs are particularly susceptible, and while many dogs exposed to infected ticks may not develop Lyme disease, it’s still important to stay vigilant. Cats, though more resistant, can still carry ticks and potentially transmit them to other animals or humans.
Symptoms of Lyme disease in dogs can include:
🐾 Lethargy and loss of appetite
🐾 Lameness or stiffness in the joints
🐾 Fever
