Meet our new Approved TB Tester Ellie 🐮

Our previous ATT Emily has moved on to pastures new to manage a dairy herd at home - we wish her all the best with her new endeavour! 🎉🐄

Ellie has joined us as our new ATT - you may see her out and about with TB tester Nieves as she completes her rigorous TB testing training. A little bit about Ellie:

Ellie grew up in Yorkshire on a family small holding surrounded by Dutch spotted sheep and horses.
Ellie grew up around the family Livestock haulage business before making the move to cheshire last year.
Ellie has previously worked in small animal veterinary before making the change to pursue a career in calf rearing which Ellie takes a strong interest in and has a small herd of cattle with her partner.

Outside of work Ellie is still enjoying exploring cheshire and surrounding places but most importantly to find the best place for a Sunday roast! 🍽

We have the long weekend of Easter (18th - 21st April) quickly followed by the May bank holiday. Ringing to book in as soon as possible ensures we can get your herd tested on a date that suits you, Many Thanks.

SUSTAINABLE FARMING INCENTIVE UPDATE

Many of you may have heard that Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) has stopped accepting new applications for the Sustainable Farming Incentive funding (SFI), as of 11/03/25, which includes the Animal Health and Welfare Pathway (AHWP) which many of our clients have signed up for.

If you already have an agreement number in place for AHWP funding, Defra will continue to honour this funding agreement as normal.

However if you had not yet applied you will not be able to access the AHWP funding anymore.

It is worth checking for any agreements that expire in October 2026, if you will be able to continue to claim for Review and Follow Up visits.

If you have any questions about the AHWP funding, please give us a ring on 01477 571000.
