This is an interesting read! This report was produced by the RSPCA in 2016 25 years after the dangerous dog act 1991 legislation came into force banning 4 different breeds of dogs! The RSPCA prepared this report Legislation-A Dogs Dinner as evidence calling for the government to start an inquiry! Back then the RSPCA said the law should look at dogs "on an individual case-by-case basis - irrespective of their breed or type".
The law has proved controversial.
The RSPCA believes the increase in the number of dog bites demonstrates the law has failed.
Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, whose report Dog Bites: What's breed got to do with it? labelled it a "poorly thought-out, knee-jerk piece of legislation that pays no regard to the consequences".
Battersea dogs home and many other dog rescue charities have to deal with the consequences when dogs are sentenced to be put to sleep on the grounds of their appearance, rather than anything they have actually done or any aggression. Again this was back in 2016!

Read the story! 32 years on and things still haven’t changed!
Things need to change, the government needs to change its ways everything is not just black and white! They need to start listening to the public and to the charities that are on the frontline dealing with these issues on a daily basis x
