Thank you everyone for all the donations, things left in the box ,newspapers towels gloves and food very much appreciated, things are still bad here all the hogs have now come down with coccidia so it's made sorting them twice as long and as you all know I don't sleep much with poorly hogs ,thankfully none seem ill with it and only a couple aren't eating but that could be due to the medication hopefully if you Google coccidia that will explain better than I could what it is .could I also ask any unwanted Christmas gifts could you ask that you think about us for Raffles and tombola prizes I'm also going to hopefully do a couple off car boot sales when weather improves. Will get sponsors updates out over the weekend and if anyone is still interested we have 4 hutches left to sponser 🦔♥️🦔♥️

Having a total nightmare at the moment some of the hogs have come down with coccidia which spreads like wild fire so life seems to be a continuous cycle of medication and poo checks on the OK for now ones ,forgive me my sponsors but updates will be a little delayed 🦔♥️😢as spending so much time on microscope at moment but has to be done 🦔🦔

HAPPY HOGMANAY TO YOU ALL❤️🦔

I've been thinking back over the past year and how incredible you have all been supporting the Hedgehogs and not to mention the support and kind words you have given myself.I can't thank you all enough for everything you all do .we are all apart off HedgeHog Haven OultonBroad and if it wasn't for you all I couldn't do this on this scale ,the hogs have houses warm dry beds ,food incubators medicine.Been a mixed year lost some true fighters and loved old or disabled hogs ,so many hogs gone back to the wild who hopefully are living their best lives and lots more ready to go out in the new year to make room for hogs in need ,I'm proud I have never turned a hog away and hopefully I never will ,if only we could save them all ,looking forward to an even better year next year for us all 🤞🦔❤️🦔❤️

Today has been an awful day ,Taz was helped over the rainbow Bridge. My beautiful boy came to me in early March as a 4 week old hoglet found circling out on a ladies lawn hence the name Taz .Taz was treated for anything and everything to try to stop this and it was eventually decided he was blind and had neurological problems, no matter what I tried i just couldn't get him over 250 gms ,I'm ashamed to say I let my heart rule my head I just wasn't strong enough to have him pts despite everything he was a lovely comical happy little boy ,in my heart I knew he would never get his freedom, he started going physically down hill and was put into the vivarium and recently had been living in an incubator, the past few days he started to deteriate again and I knew it was his time ,I apologise to ppl at vets as I couldn't stop crying and Anne was amazing and so very kind and I know Taz made his journey over the bridge with the greatest care and love for his final journey. I'm afraid I failed Taz as we are taught release or euthanize if no hope and with hindsight Mum had a reason for throwing Taz out of the nest and I'm hoping I can learn to be a little tougher

Taz you touched my heart fly high and sleep well 💔😢🦔💔

Little Twixmas admitted this afternoon, 329 gms fingers crossed as she was picked up a week ago ,but hopefully with correct food and treatment she will pick up ,hopefully she was just out because she was hungry 🤞♥️🦔

Thank you for donations left yesterday in porch and from Issy Menzies today and whoever sent the sheba and to Jan for the money she would have spent on Christmas cards ,in the new year any money the hogs receive I'm going to save for air conditioning in the hog room as with 50 cages crammed in the hog room and all the incubators running and the lack of windows open because of flys coming in it gets stifling and even 5 fans running did nothing 🦔♥️🤞

Yesterday I had the privilege of meeting a member of Suffolk HedgeHog Hospital lynda Brignall ,the author of these brilliant books ,some had faults from the printers so she kindly donated them and I was lucky enough to be given some for the schools that Ryan and Ali work at ,lynda also give me a copy of when I come out in the day for myself ,I shall look forward to reading these to Arlo when he stays over with nanny hoggie ,start them young 😀 Anyone wanting an amazing informative book for the child in their life please go to www.suffolkhedgehoghospital.com if I'm incorrect I'm hoping lynda will correct me on a comment 😀 ♥️🦔

The HedgeHogs and myself would like to wish you all a Happy Christmas, the support we have received from you this year is totally amazing, because of you all the HedgeHogs don't want for anything they have houses incubators clean beds full belly's and medications to treat them ,my support team are incredible and without all off you there would be no HedgeHog Haven OultonBroad at the size it is now ,I am proud to say we have never turned a hog away ,so many have come through the doors and so many have returned back to the wild ,my heart breaks at the ones that didn't make it if only we could save them all .we are so very very lucky to have you all following us ,and a special thank you to our vet nurse Anne I will forever be in your debt for what you do for us and for teaching me so much .Thank you everyone who has bought in a hedgehog and giving me the privilege off trying to help them 🦔♥️and thank you to my family for accepting this is what I do it know it's not easy for you at times ♥️🦔♥️😄

When Bev and Marya very generously gifted the hogs some money and I got cameras to go in all the incubators from Amazon black Friday I wondered if I should have spent the money elsewhere,tonight they proved how they will be worth it ,this video is distressing but I noticed when yesterday's arrival Chelsea was eating I wasn't happy with foot hanging over the bowl ,checking a while later I was shocked to see this footage ,I've immediately started antibiotics and anti-inflammatory painkillers as a small wound on foot and a strong smell of infection, without the camera this may not have been seen for a day or 2 , praying it's infected not broken luckily fen is off to Anne for his feet to be checked so Chelsea will go to ,fingers crossed and prayers needed plz 🦔❤️😢🤞

Not Hedgehog related but On Friday I decided to go back to my original hair colour after 35 years note I said original colour not the colour thats natural now lol so if I do see you yes it's me lol it gives me quite a start when I pass a mirror but needed to be done ,hope Arlo doesn't get a shock ,just first thing on my list for change 🤞🦔❤️
