This week, our Ludlow team have all pulled together to donate essentials to help those in need in Ukraine💙💛
Here we have a mixture of sanitary and hygiene items, nappies and wipes, baby food, colouring books and pens, sweeties, pasta and rice, teabags, dog food, first aid items such as plasters, hand sanitiser and antibacterial creams and much much more.
All donations have been passed on to Becky and Jess, who are giving to separate collections that will be posted this weekend.
Every little helps, and it’s amazing what we can do if we all come together💙💛
Keeping small pets cool
☀️ 🐰 RABBIT AND GUINEA PIG HEAT WARNING 🐰☀️
A lot of attention is given to looking after dogs in the heatwave but don't forget about rabbits and guinea pigs too!
➡️ Move their hutch and run into the shade, under a parasol or into a cool room of the house
➡️ If you use towels or sheets to create shade, make sure there's still plenty of airflow underneath
➡️ Try freezing a large bottle of water and wrapping it securely in an old towel before placing in the hutch - some animals will like lying next to the bottle to keep cool
➡️ Ensure that fresh, cool water is available at all times and regularly check the spout on drinking bottles to make sure it's not blocked. Rabbits will appreciate having a bowl of water as well as a bottle
➡️ Rabbits are at higher risk of flystrike during the summer months - make sure your rabbit's bottom and bedding is clean at all times
