Is your pet overdue for their booster vaccine? Let’s get them back on track
Vaccines do more than just protect — they supercharge your pet’s immune system, shielding them from potentially life-threatening infectious diseases. Plus, every vaccination appointment includes a thorough health check from nose to tail, giving you peace of mind that your pet is happy, healthy, and thriving. If it’s been over a year since their last jab, good news — it’s not too late. You can still book their booster without having to restart the course. But if they’re more than 3 months overdue, they’ll need to begin a full vaccination course again. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Join Our Vaccine Catch-Up Campaign!
Give your furry friend the care they need! Pay for the first overdue vaccine, and we’ll cover the second, ensuring their safety at an affordable price.
Let’s keep your furry friend safe, healthy, and ready for all of life’s adventures. Book today! Call us on 01584 874566 and our reception team will advise you of the next available appointment and answer any questions you may have.

Autumn Pet Toxins: Acorns
Acorns are also a choking hazard and can cause intestinal damage if ingested whole. Signs of acorn poisoning to look for include vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain and dehydration. In rare cases, untreated incidents of acorn poisoning have led to kidney and liver failure, so always speak to your vet as soon as possible if you suspect your pet has ingested acorns.

Just like us if we injure ourselves during exercise or through wear and tear as we age, our pets can also end up with discomfort or pain in their limbs, causing lameness. This may be a breed disposition like hip dysplasia in dogs, your cat jumping from a
fence at an odd angle and injuring their leg or perhaps an aging pet showing the first signs of osteoarthritis.
If you think your pet is struggling with movement or doesn’t seem themselves, please give us a call today to book an appointment on 01584 874566

Hip dysplasia is a developmental condition in dogs. This is usually due to genetic predisposition and the dysplasia develops or worsens as the dog
grows. Hip dysplasia can occur in any breed of dog. It is typically associated with large breeds such as Labradors, German Shepherds, Rottweilers and Saint Bernards, but is increasingly being diagnosed in smaller breeds such as French Bulldogs.

Toxins your pet should avoid in autumn
Autumn Pet Toxins: Horse Chestnuts (conkers)The toxic ingredient in conkers is also found in the leaves and bark of the tree, so keep an eye out to make sure your pet
doesn't eat these either. Conkers are also a choking hazard, and can potentially cause bowel obstructions if swallowed whole, which may require emergency surgery. Signs to look for in your pet include vomiting and diarrhoea, excessive drooling,
excessive thirst or reduced appetite. In severe cases, ingestion can cause muscle tremors or seizures.

Today is National Wildlife Day: a time to celebrate and protect the incredible animals that share our planet. Whether it's the foxes in our fields or the birds in our back gardens, wildlife plays a vital role in our ecosystem. As animal lovers, we know how
