!!!!!ROAD CLOSURES ON COAST ROAD from 6th MARCH!!!!

Please check before your journey as you may need to use the long route via Lydd to drop off and collect your cats from us for several weeks as they work themselves along the coast road .

***OUR HOLIDAY TIME ***
We are now closed for our annual holiday period . We will be away some of the days from now until the start of February. We are not full on any dates but only have a few spaces left the second half of February. Please email booking requests , do not try to phone us and we will reply as soon as possible when we are back at the cattery during our closed period. Thank you Mandy and David

We have a phone line again this morning so if you have been trying to contact us during recent days since the storm we are back to normal again . Please note that if you have problems ringing us emails are another great way to communicate with us. They appear on both our mobile phones so it’s like texting us.

EMERGENCY APPEAL 4 cats about to be made homeless . Owner has a stable so does anyone have a large dog crate she could borrow short term from today if possible !!!! Something like the photo below . Bigger the better . Cats will be in pairs . So needs 2 crates .( Unfortunately we are full and cannot help . Other options are being investigated , foster home ideally but crates would be an emergency measure )

Fully recommend as we had need of their Gentle Farewell service for our own cat recently . For those of you with elderly friends you may wish to complete their special form and leave with us, just in case , to give you peace of mind if the worse should happen while you are away.

✅ We have had several messages about which veterinary surgeries use Cherry Tree routinely to carry out individual cremation on behalf of their owners.
Here is the list.

❌ Most other Veterinary surgery’s not Listed will allow cherry tree to collect on your behalf, but you must call cherry tree directly and let your vet know you are making your own arrangements for individual cremation, or use the below form.

✅ Here is a copy of our cremation wishes form to print and have on hand should you need us, it can be left with your vet of kennels.
It’s better to know us and not need us, than to need us and not know us. ❤️

Unfortunately we had need of them recently for our own Cat and can fully recommend. Obviously a sad time but was handled smoothly and with dignity. We used the Gentle Farewell service . The next best thing to being at home .

With so many veterinary surgery’s now being corporate owned and owning their own pet crematoriums it’s never been more important to make your own arrangements for cremation at your local family owned pet crematorium.
If you’re in the sad position of losing your family Pet or Horse make sure you are aware of the service being offered to you by your vet at the time of loss.
✅ you shouldn’t have to wait two - three weeks for the return of ashes.
✅ you should be welcome to collect ashes from the crematorium for peace of mind.
✅ you should be made aware of how far your pet will travel for cremation.
✅ you should have peace of mind that the crematorium specialise in individual cremation.
✅ you should be made aware of when your pet will be collected and when he/she will be home.

After all you wouldn’t let a human hospital make funeral arrangements for a family member.
