Antibiotic resistance is a global health issue, and we need your help to keep antibiotics working!

This is why Sundean is taking part in the Antibiotic Amnesty 2024 which is returning again for a second year. Throughout November 2024 we are asking pet owners to return any unused or leftover antibiotic medications to us for safe disposal.

Please drop off any unused medications to your practice. You can hand them in to a vet, nurse or the reception team. This medication might be left-over from a recent prescription, antibiotics that you didn’t need or out-of-date medication.

Let’s keep antibiotics working, together!

With the current heat wave happening it's important to keep your dogs cool and comfortable during the hot summer days! 🌞 Dogs often suffer from heat-related stress and are susceptible to heat stroke, which can be fatal!! Some dogs are more at risk of suffering from heat stroke than others, these include brachycephalic breeds (short nosed), overweight dogs, long haired dogs, older dogs and puppies. Lungworm is a particularly nasty type of parasitic worm that can be serious – even fatal – if left untreated! dogs can catch lungworm by eating slugs, snails and even frogs that are infected with the disease. To help reduce the risk of your dog being infected by lungworm avoid leaving toys outside when they’re not being played with, and keep water and food bowls inside.
