My name is Jacquie and I'm the dog mad owner behind Lynton and Lynmouth's Dog Emporium. The Lyn Valley Dog House, has been a dream of mine since moving to this beautiful part of the world from Gloucestershire. Lynton and Lynmouth are situated in an idyllic dog walking haven, with some of the most stunning countryside in the UK. Our human visitors are well catered for with many pubs, cafes, restaur

ants and shops to choose from, so I wanted to create a place for dogs, with a wide range of natural treats, offering everything the visiting canine may want, as well as a few lovely souvenirs to take home (and eat later). Being a dog owner myself, (I have two grumpy old Jack Russell’s and a mad Springer called Mabel), I know how important it is to create a space for owners looking to buy a few special items that will enhance their dog's lives, whilst giving them somewhere to meet fellow like-minded dog lovers. My shop provides this physical space and our lovely group of social media followers provides a similar community online. Nothing makes us happier than receiving pictures of our customers and their dogs! Last year, in our second year of trading, we:
Improved our Subscription Boxes of natural treats. Updated our website and on-line shop. Created The Lyn Valley Dog House Club and enjoyed talks by our favourite groomer and trainer. Organised indoor play dates for local furry friends. Held the first of our afternoon tea parties. Arranged with Market Vets to arrange delivery of medication for the village. Organised community events which raised money for the Dogs Trust including Howl-o-Ween, and photo opportunities with Santa Paws and with a local petting farm.

2023 looks like we are going to have an even better year, so far we have planned:
To increase and improve our The 3 Jacks range to include dog friendly eco shampoo bars, and an even greater choice of collars, leads and blankets made from local wool. To find a greater selection of dog foods, locally sourced where possible, so that we can provide consistency for our local dog owners. And a few more surprises along the way - it’s going to be a fantastic year! All this at the same time as we are in the process of launching our Welcome Boxes for dog friendly accommodation. It really doesn’t stop here at the Dog House!

🌷🌷 February is finally here after the longest January on record! 🌷🌷

We are open a few days per week until half term so that we can finish some painting and organising.

During half term, we are open every day except Sunday and then we are off for a little break and back on 1st March.

If you see the light on and me running around in my scruffs, do pop in, I promise not to give you a paint brush!

🐶 🐶We all have drawers and cupboards full of collars, leads, harnesses, and other items our dogs have grown out of or no longer need. Now’s the perfect time to do a Spring Clean and donate your unused dog gear to the Dogs Trust. 🐾 All items must be in good working order and clean! Let your dog help give a gift to a dog in need this month. 🐶 🐶

With the freezing and wet weather we are having, the doggy play barn at Pauline's Pampered Pooches is a great way to exercise your dog, and keep them entertained in the dry!

Pauline has organised a DOGGY PLAY DATE on Tuesday, 14th January. There is a special session for smaller dogs at 5pm and then another session for larger dogs at 6.30pm

We are open today, (Wednesday), between 10am and 4pm!

Alongside our new Green & Wild's toys, we have had a biscuit delivery!! Everyone's favourite, Grain Free Cheesy Little Bones are here but we have good and bad news....we couldn't get the Apple, Blueberry and Banana biscuits but we have a new flavour, Salmon and Dill Mini Paws 🐾

We are working on our Barkery and have lots of new grain free treats on their way!

Happy International Dog Day 🐶 The shop is open 10am to 5pm (thanks mum and dad!). We are at the Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway raising money for the Dogs Trust with a Lucky Dip. Donations from a £1. We also have some of the goodies from our shop for you to purchase too. Beth is here from Rulyn Dog Grooming with some of her mobile spa.
