My name is Jacquie and I'm the dog mad owner behind Lynton and Lynmouth's Dog Emporium. The Lyn Valley Dog House, has been a dream of mine since moving to this beautiful part of the world from Gloucestershire. Lynton and Lynmouth are situated in an idyllic dog walking haven, with some of the most stunning countryside in the UK. Our human visitors are well catered for with many pubs, cafes, restaur

ants and shops to choose from, so I wanted to create a place for dogs, with a wide range of natural treats, offering everything the visiting canine may want, as well as a few lovely souvenirs to take home (and eat later). Being a dog owner myself, (I have two grumpy old Jack Russell’s and a mad Springer called Mabel), I know how important it is to create a space for owners looking to buy a few special items that will enhance their dog's lives, whilst giving them somewhere to meet fellow like-minded dog lovers. My shop provides this physical space and our lovely group of social media followers provides a similar community online. Nothing makes us happier than receiving pictures of our customers and their dogs! Last year, in our second year of trading, we:
Improved our Subscription Boxes of natural treats. Updated our website and on-line shop. Created The Lyn Valley Dog House Club and enjoyed talks by our favourite groomer and trainer. Organised indoor play dates for local furry friends. Held the first of our afternoon tea parties. Arranged with Market Vets to arrange delivery of medication for the village. Organised community events which raised money for the Dogs Trust including Howl-o-Ween, and photo opportunities with Santa Paws and with a local petting farm.

2023 looks like we are going to have an even better year, so far we have planned:
To increase and improve our The 3 Jacks range to include dog friendly eco shampoo bars, and an even greater choice of collars, leads and blankets made from local wool. To find a greater selection of dog foods, locally sourced where possible, so that we can provide consistency for our local dog owners. And a few more surprises along the way - it’s going to be a fantastic year! All this at the same time as we are in the process of launching our Welcome Boxes for dog friendly accommodation. It really doesn’t stop here at the Dog House!

I love this time of year, eating cake for breakfast, not knowing what day it is, watching awful films, or is that just me?

Our hours are changing this week due to New Years Eve, and next week we move to winter hours.

We are open on Wednesday's and Saturday's 10am to 4pm. This will not effect our online orders, subscription boxes, Dexter's Pantry subscriptions or Welcome Boxes. Although the shop will be closed on the other days, I am working on the hidden part of our shop!

Thank you again to all of you, our customers, friends and small businesses, without you, we wouldn't be here. I can never thank you enough ❤

A great big thank you to the 30 plus dogs that visited Santa Paws yesterday. Lynton is certainly full of the most photogenic dogs, and also the most liveliest!

Thank you to dad, Roger Martin, for stepping in at last minute...the picture of you and Dobbie is my favourite (totally biased of course).

Happy International Dog Day 🐶 The shop is open 10am to 5pm (thanks mum and dad!). We are at the Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway raising money for the Dogs Trust with a Lucky Dip. Donations from a £1. We also have some of the goodies from our shop for you to purchase too. Beth is here from Rulyn Dog Grooming with some of her mobile spa. The Fun Dog Show is at Garson House from 2pm AND it’s the mini run day too. Enjoy your bank holiday ❤️
