The Zo Zo

If I ever want to put a smile on my face I interact with this dog. I’ve never been with a dog that is just so happy and excited to do what she is bred to do.

Is there a better feeling than seeing a dog happy doing what they love? I don’t think there is

You are never done

The road to having that ‘perfect’ dog is the longest road you’ll ever walk. But keep walking it because the views along the way are incredible.

View your dog like a house. You’ve just got your dream house. You finally feel complete, the decor is stunning, the gardens are beautiful, the kitchen makes you want to become a chef. But there’s always something that needs doing, changing or improving.

A dog will always need training, behaviours will always need tweaking and your visions with training can sometimes take a new route.

This is what makes dog training so incredible because there is never a ‘what now’ moment. There is always something new to teach a dog and a new skill you can learn as a handler

Are you stuck with your training or feel like you’ve hit the ‘what now’? Drop me a message and let’s take your dog to new heights 👊🏽📲

Let this one sink in

It is far too common that dog owners expect their dogs to be friendly with every dog.

“I just want my dog to be be friends with every dog”

Unfortunately, this just isn’t the case and you must respect your dogs feelings. If they aren’t sociable, that’s fine. If they are sociable that is also fine. But you must be aware of it and respect it.

Forcing a dog into a situation they do not want to be in is a recipe for disaster and can create future reactivity or aggression problems

You should aim for neutrality between dogs where they can co exist. Be aware of triggers and body language of your dog which may imply a possible reactive outburst

If you don’t know what triggers or body language signs to look for or your dog suffers with reactivity towards other dogs drop me a message 📲
