How quickly they grow.
At 3 weeks old puppies are starting to get around, interact and play with each other.
They are also getting their baby teeth so mum is not too happy at feeding them anymore. Weaning will be starting in the next few days. I'm sure she will be grateful for a break. 🥰

Q: What Ectoparasite is this?
A: Otodectes
AKA - Ear Mites 👂🏼
So many of you got this correct! ✔️
Usually found within the ear canal, but can also live on the skin surface. They are highly contagious and easily passed from one infected animal to another.
Ear mites are difficult to spot with the naked eye but can sometimes be seen as teeny white specks on a dark background.
Clinical signs you may notice include:
- Scratching at their ears/head, also head shaking
(the above can lead to hair loss or a sore area of skin from self trauma by scratching)
- Dark, waxy discharge from the ear
This can usually be easily diagnosed by the vets examining the ears with an otoscope, sometimes a sample of wax will be taken to examine under the microscope 🔬
Treatment involves a topical treatment and sometimes a spot on parasiticide prescribed from our vets 👩🏼⚕️🧑🏼⚕️

If your dogs could talk how dramatic would they be about a trip to the vets? 😂❤️
Tatum Talks highlights it perfectly!
