As a Trust Technique practitioner, I've been working with a lot of dogs who suffer from separation anxiety, Oz was one of them. When his human when out, he would go berserk: barking, throwing himself at the window and around the room. This would not stop until she came back inside. This video was after I'd worked with them a couple of times, teaching Oz how to be at peace with his human leaving the house. The human had felt trapped by his anxiety and was really tearful after the session. We are now working on him being at peace with her out for longer.
I've done 4 sessions with Blossom using the Trust Technique. She is an anxious horse that doesn't like to be far away from her boyfriend, Toby. She doesn't trust humans or understand what they are asking from her. This has caused her to buck and kick out when she's ridden and reluctant to work with humans. On this session, she was incredibly calm and didn't flinch when the herd charged across the field, plus she was very relaxed with Toby at the other end of the field. We were so connected that she followed me further away from the herd and stopped when I stopped - no head collar was used or needed. It was the power of the Trust Technique which created this bond, and she's not even my horse. Through the sessions she is growing in confidence and the human companions can now trot her, without her bucking, and her head is low.
