A little bit of help at Dbarc rescue center yesterday

We’d like to say a very BIG thank you to Penny at Paws at Penny's for popping along yesterday to groom our special boy Flurry 😘
We’ve had little Flurry for several months now - he was saved from the meat trade in China & sponsored by Mad about Schnauzers UK who paid for his treatment before coming to the U.K. & paid for him to come over to DBARC.
Poor Flurry was found with badly infected eyes which both needed removing so he’s obviously totally blind.
We cannot imagine the suffering this poor guy has been through in his past which has left him with some psychological scars as he can be very wary of some people.
Luckily for Flurry he has been offered a home, a chance of a life filled with love & happiness - leaving his horrible past behind.
We wish Flurry all the luck in the world - & thank the people who have been helping him along the way 🙏 🥰 💜

What a transformation. She is only 5 months and came in for her first handstripping session. She was a little angel.

We are open as usual, dog groomers are still able to continue grooming so any appointments booked this week will still go ahead. Any problems please let me know asap as I have a waiting list for appointments

Meet Teddy. He is such a cutey. He came in today for his first bath and tidy. He was so good as well at only 12 weeks. See you again in 6 weeks little one.

As its only 7 weeks until Christmas day is over please remember to book early if your dogs need a bath and tidy up. Spaces are booking up early this year so don't be disappointed by leaving it to late to get a spruce up ready for the family coming over.

Happy to help out the Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre today, grooming cute little Basil 😍
He was in quite a state bless him, and a little nervous being groomed but given time, patience & lots of cuddles he coped really well & must feel a lot better now 😊

Look who came in for his first bath and groom today. This is little Sebby a maltipoo, 16 weeks old. This little chap belongs to Fiona who founded the Alexandra Divine children’s hospice which will be opening soon which is just up the road from my salon. I think this little puppy will give all the sick children and their parents lots of cuddles and comfort whilst at the hospice.

Alfie my little terrier thought he had to get in on the act today. He was so desperate to have his photo taken whilst looking after darcy a spaniel who came in today for the first time. Darcy was a bit nervous to start with but Alfie soon calmed her nerves and kept her company.

This lovely boy came in today. 4hours of hard work grooming out all the undercoat. I think he must feel much better now. I’ve just got to do their other Newfie next week. I hope I will have recovered in time

Look at this stunning standard schnauzer who came in for his hand strip and groom yesterday. He also joined in one of the schnauzerfest walks which has raised approximately £26000 for Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre which will help all those poor animal in desperate need of loving homes.

Paws at penny's had a great time at the Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre fun day last Sunday. We were helping run the scurry and temptation alley. We were also running a nail clipping service with all the proceeds going to this very worthy charity. I'm so glad we could have been there to help raise much needed funds for all the rescue animals that the centre have to look after each day. Well done dbarc on a great day out. Look forward to next year.

I think this lab was in desperate need of a bath and de shed today. It made him look so much younger. He has been staying with me this weekend, so felt he needed a make over. Certainly the blaster did the trick and got loads of that dead hair out.

Look who came in today Janet. She was quite a good girl so looks like she has settled into her new home very well. She will be coming to see you at the Dbarc animal rescue centre fun day on 2nd July. If you fancy having a fun day out with your dogs go along to raise lots of money for all the poor animals in the Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre.

One of my more tricky customers today 😳
Daisy is an ex Puppy Farm breeding bitch, so traumatised by her past she only really trusts one person, her foster mummy. Grooming such scared dogs takes a lot of time & patience - but I enjoy being able to help such abused little dogs.
She's being cared for at Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre where her foster mummy works.
She was so brave having her hair cut today - tomorrow she has another ordeal to overcome when she goes to her ophthalmologist for a check up after cataract surgery a few months ago 😊
Good luck Daisy, hope the vet gives you the ok & you're as brave with them as you were today 😍
