This is just another reminder of a small price increase this year for some of my customers. I have always absorbed the extra costs, however after some advice from my accountant I do have to be realistic and increase some of my service prices in order to keep my doors open. The small increase is affordable for all and helps to ensure I can keep up with using high quality products, afford my salon rent, keep up with property and equipment maintenance, along with earning enough to live after paying out for my business costs and ultimately allowing me continue to provide the best service I can.
The price quoted to you for your dog's groom is on the basis of them attending on a 4-8 weekly regular grooming schedule for coats in a good condition. The price has been set dependant on the preferred style for your pet and the time taken to complete that specific style. The price does not cover extra time taken to remove or fix matted hair or to groom severely knotty and overgrown coats, and in these instances additional fees will apply for the extra time taken and to cover the costs to sharpen my scissors and blades. This is why I only groom thick and curly coated breeds on a regular grooming schedule now to avoid working on difficult and unkept coats. This ensures an all round positive, safe and happy grooming experience for both your pet and your groomer. If your dog is regularly returning with matted fur, they will be put into a shorter style generally to prevent this from occurring.
I am no longer accepting bank transfer as a form of payment for my services unless the transfer is completed before or upon the collection of your pet. If bank transfers are an issue, cash can be paid as an alternative on collection. Payment on collection makes my busy work days much nicer.
