Tommy has not only mastered following and stopping when asked, while free in the school (while his favourite poles try to distract him🙈) but he has also learnt to stand perfectly at the mounting block and let me lean over all while being loose! Such a good 3yo, someone will be very lucky❤️
I’m sure he’ll find his new people easily now!
Put our lovely 3yo Tommy in the school to play and to film some videos of how he moves and he decided to take himself over the jump (from my previous ride🐴) all on his own😅 He could have gone around it on either side but I couldn’t get him away from it so had to put it down after! Then he decided to play with the poles on the floor instead, he’s already showing what career he wants🙈
All his info is available on my previous post or pm me if you’re interested!

George showing his confidence over the gates into the woods🌿
I worked with George and his owner for a few months earlier this year as he became fearful of stepping over these gates, which soon progressed into him napping home. Eventually it was difficult to get him out of the yard, as he would buck and bronc if you treated him too harshly but he would drag you back to the field if you weren’t strong enough. While all of this can be seen as him misbehaving, it is all due to his lack of confidence of being on his own, due to the loss of his field mate.
Over the few months we built up his confidence by hacking him out with different horses and eventually on his own, after finding a balance between asking and telling him what to do. He is now happily hacking out with his owner again without any problems!
Course hire today at Rosewood Equine Rehabilitation Centre , the boys were so good for their first time jumping in a few weeks❤️
Some videos from Bon Fleur on Monday❤️
