I’m going through a bit of a rough time health wise at the moment and I’m currently in hospital with a bad chest. I’m sorry to everyone that we’ve had to cancel and I completely understand if you need to make other arrangements as I could be here for another week recovering - I’ll make another post when I’m fit enough to work again though.

Thought I’d post this guide for the recommended grooming intervals for different breeds.

Ideally all long haired dogs, especially curly coated/ poodles/poodle crosses, need to be on a regular grooming schedule to keep their coats knot-free and in good condition. They do have high maintenance coats unfortunately and when they do get matted this can cause the dog stress due to the matts pulling at the skin and the only humane thing we can do is to shave them short to relieve this. The longer you want to keep your dogs hair, the more often they need to be professionally groomed and brushed at home. I hope this helps 🐾
