📢 Gentle Reminder for Visitors

When visiting Maldon Zoo from Monday to Friday during term time, please note that our Handling Hour takes place between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM.

During this time, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to meet a variety of reptiles, creepy crawlies, and some of our cute and fluffy friends.

Outside of these hours, our zookeepers are dedicated to ensuring the animals receive the best care and attention, so handling sessions outside the designated hour cannot be guaranteed.

Thank you for your understanding and support! We look forward to welcoming you. 🐾

Martha and Vixie, Our Daughter and Mother reindeer duo now back home. They thank everyone who came to see them over the festive period.

Thank you for all the support we have had from all your visits in December, we are now in the most difficult time of the year as with all zoos this January.

Please continue to support us, we are a small zoo but with so much you can get up to.

From the cute and fluffy handling, the reptiles of whom you can get up close with, farm talks where you will get to know our beautiful sheep/goats/alpacas and pigs. We also have a wonderful mob of meerkats; of whom you’ll get up close and personal with (this can be either be a little 5 minute meet and greet, or you could purchase an experience that will last up to 20 minutes)

We do need the continuous support from you, our work doesn’t stop at December, we work all year round to ensure our animals get the best off everything. With you the public visiting, you are. Helping greatly towards costs for feeds, bedding, enrichment supplies. We as a small zoo thank you for the support we had got in the past and continue to thank you for visiting us to the present.
