From lameness to winning performance.
Now on our website, the case study of an 18-year-old, 17hh skewbald dressage horse.
This case, like many others, did not initially have a clear diagnosis at the time of lameness onset. The horse’s performance was inconsistent and varying degrees of lameness blighted him… …The horse was low medially with flat feet and with visible chronic laminitic changes in the feet. The x-rays were revealing and invaluable… Find out more about this case here…

Paton and Lee Equine Veterinary Surgery Essex generously hosted the latest Imprint CPD course. The popular course 'No Foot No Horse? ' where we deal with whatever foot or limb conditions that are presented. So we had 'all creatures great and small, from a miniature horse, needing more comfort, an Arab mare and a black warmblood dressage horse. We had the benefit of both xrays and MRI reports to aid us with appropriate treatment. All were evaluated prior to treatment and then reviewed again post shoeing. We were delighted that all immediately displayed improved comfort and mobility. Congratulations to the keen farriers attending, great work! Thanks to all Paton and Lee staff especially George who tirelessly took care of us all day.😎👍

Feet trimmed and shod, although this clip was taken no more than 1 hour later, the mares comfort is much improved. There is a way to go with recovery but all positive signs. Being able to deliver this treatment and see marked pain relief immediately is hugely gratifying. Our thanks to the mares owner for allowing us to share this snapshot of her treatment.
