Big Ted - 17hh 4yo gelding (officially 4 in April) gentle giant

Big Ted is a kind, nice looking horse. He was in training as a 3yo so eligible for some RoR classes, but never ran as he is simply too slow. Ted is a blank canvas for someone to put their own stamp on.

I have had Ted since December and have done the basics of retraining with him. He is being rehomed on behalf of his racing owner, so his full history is known. Ted is like a big dog to deal with. He is chilled out and good to shoe, travel, etc. He is very kind in his stable and loves affection. He is great with children and other animals. He is currently turned out daily with 3 other geldings.

Ted is a sensible horse to ride. He is very laid back, more woah than go. He has nice paces. Ted has been over coloured poles on the floor and went over first time. He is not silly or spooky, I haven’t seen him buck/rear/bronc. Ted is unflappable in traffic and has hacked round the industrial estate near the yard, which is a building site. He was unphased by heavy machinery. He has been through a stream, he likes to have a look but takes confidence from his rider and tends to take everything in his stride. I have ridden him in open fields and he doesn’t fizz up. He has boxed to different places to hack and is the same. He stands at the mounting block.

Having said all of this, Ted is a young tb and requires an experienced home where he can mature and strengthen up. He could be turned away but equally could continue basic retraining slowly. He is a big baby but has plenty of potential. He is a kind and level headed person and is a long term project for someone. He will be looking for a forever home. Ted has no vices or injuries, but has a couple of sarcoids which don’t interfere with tack. He is up to date with everything. Low 4s beginning with a 1️⃣ for this gentle giant. Can be viewed and ridden in Malton, North Yorkshire from today.

King (King Triton) - 16hh 7yo gelding RoR eligible 👑
This horse is an absolute gentleman both on the ground and ridden, he will make someone incredibly happy!

King last raced in December 2023, he retired sound and enjoyed a break after training, before coming to me at the start of November. He has no injuries or vices and is clean limbed. He is compact to ride and is just under 16hh on the stick.

King is kind and level headed. He loves affection and is always sensible to deal with, the sort you could leave your Granny or non-horsey partner to do without worrying. He is patient, ties up for his feet picking out etc. He is perfect for the farrier and to clip, and loads and travels well. I have never seen him put his ears back!

To ride, King is consistent and willing. He is the same regardless of having a few days off, the weather, or what other horses are doing. He has three nice paces and carries himself naturally in an outline. He is forward going and responsive but never silly. I haven’t seen him throw any shapes. He has been to several arena hires both alone and with others and is always the exact same. He goes over coloured poles and has begun jumping, he is willing and makes a nice shape.

I have hacked him alone and in company and he is perfect. He isn’t phased by traffic and is safe and calm in acres of fields. Several of my friends have ridden him, and everyone loves him. He is safe and trustworthy.

I have videos of him moving, jumping and in open spaces. He is available to view from tomorrow (Tuesday) in Malton, North Yorkshire. This horse is worth his weight in gold, but he is still a tb with lots to learn, so no novices or nervous nellies please. He will make a fabulous all rounder, RoR contender, mother/daughter share etc, and deserves the best home. Low-mid 4s. Please share!

This is Ghost, another of the lovely geldings with us at the moment.

Please feel free to message about the horses to find out more and show interest! They aren’t ready to view just yet. The weather is being pretty tricky at the moment and slowing things down! I expect it to be nearer to the end of the month.

Unless the horses have been trained by mum, so I know them inside out already, I want to make sure I know how they’ll react to new situations, such as traffic, arena hires, hacking alone & in company, etc. Please bear with me as it is a process and worth it to make sure the horse is suitable for you and vice versa! 😊

King’s first time out to the big fields on his own, he took it all in his stride and was really relaxed! (so much so that he is resting his leg in this 🤦‍♀️🤣)

Miah has only been in her new home with Millie since Wednesday evening but they’re bonding already 🥹 They’re aiming to do some showing, hacking and showjumping together 🩷

The lovely Paris Dixie settled in her new home. Watch with volume up to hear Claire, her new owner welcome her! Claire has surrogate mares for her eventers, and treats them all like members of the family. They breed one year and have the next off, relaxing with their herd and even doing some light ridden work. Once they’re 15, they’re retired from breeding and have a home for life with Claire. Watch until the end to see Paris reunited with her best friend Embla 🩷

Wild Max - the horse with the looks, moves, jump & temperament. A talented racehorse and I’m sure an equally talented RoR. He was a pleasure to work with and hard to say goodbye to, but I can’t wait to see what he gets up to next. Another special horse with his perfect match found before advertising - don’t hesitate to get in touch 💜
