🧡2025… what a year 🥹🧡

This post is the highlight reel, but like every year running a small business, it came with its fair share of long days, learning curves, emotional moments, and quiet “am I doing this right?” thoughts too.

Looking back, 2025 was full of moments I’ll always carry with me.

✨ Visiting Crufts 2025 – inspiring, overwhelming, and a reminder of how much I still love learning in this industry. Attending grooming seminars and workshops, continuing to build my knowledge, skills, and confidence as a groomer.
✨ Reading the kind reviews and messages from clients who trust me with their dogs and why I do this.
✨ Remembering the dogs we’ve said goodbye to this year, they are never “just dogs” and they will always hold a place in my heart.
And also remembering the loss of my handsome polydactyl cat, Hemmy. His unique personality, cheeky ways, and quiet presence filled my life more than he’ll ever know. Losing him broke my heart, and he will always be so deeply missed. 🥹
✨ Having Autumn and Sirius photographed by Ray & Julie Photography. Memories captured that I’ll treasure forever.
✨ The Polar Express train ride before Christmas, a little bit of fun, and a reminder to slow down and enjoy the moments outside of work.
✨ Taking first place with my girl Autumn, a moment of pure pride and a reminder of how far we’ve come together.

This year reinforced a few things for me:
🐾 Growth doesn’t always look chaotic
🐾 Consistency matters more than rushing
🐾 And doing things with care, intention, and kindness always shows in the end

Before stepping into 2026, I just want to say thank you.
To my clients, your dogs, my friends, and my family - your support this year has meant everything.

2026 feels exciting. New possibilities, new ideas, and... a new service coming that doesn’t involve dogs 😉

2026… I’m ready for you 🥰

🧡 I’ve been thinking about how I want my days to feel in 2026. 🧡

This year has shown me that calm is not a luxury, it’s a necessity.
For the dogs who struggle with grooming.
For the ones who need extra reassurance.
And for me too.

My intention for next year isn’t about doing more.
It’s about slowing down, creating calmer routines, and being fully present with every dog on my table.

That’s how trust is built.
That’s how progress happens.
And that’s how I can continue to support you and your dogs in the way they deserve.

I’m also looking ahead with excitement to learning new skills, expanding into new areas, and ensuring that the way I work always stays aligned with my values and work ethics.

No pressure. No promises.
Just a quieter, steadier way forward.

This feels like the right direction for me and the dogs in my care.

🧡This time last year I couldn’t have imagined…🧡

That's a wrap! Here we are, Christmas Eve, where has the time gone.

As I start to wind down for Christmas, I wanted to pause and say a huge thank you to all of you.

Whether you’ve booked in for 2025, supported my small business, shared a post, or simply followed along, I’m so grateful.

This time last year, I couldn’t have imagined how quickly Vanity Fur VIP would grow, or how supported I would feel while building a community of clients who truly value what I do. I’m heading into 2026 feeling excited, inspired, and incredibly thankful for what’s to come.

🧡Tell me your dog’s festive plans… 🎄🐾🧡

Well it’s officially the week of chaos, chocolate, and Christmas jumpers...
But what does Christmas look like in YOUR house with your dog(s)?

🎁 Are they getting presents?
🦴 Are they joining the dinner table?
🐕 Are they heading to doggy daycare for a break from the madness?

My two are borderline on the “Nice List,” so Santa Paws will be stopping by… and yes, they'll be getting a little Christmas dinner too (mostly to stop them staring at me while I eat mine! 😂)

The pic attached is Autumn in her Christmas PJs back in 2019 🥹(Shhh… don’t tell her she'd be mortified I’m posting it!). Her hairstyle has definitely evolved since then.
